At this point I’m resigned to them not winning this year. Thank goodness for last season. Just be done with it already, get rid of Dusty, bring in a new smart manager and revamp the SP for next year.
That should have been Dubon's spot in the order anyway. How you going to bat the guy with a .302 obp as leadoff and put the guy with a .363 obp and much higher ops in the 8th spot? In the middle of a pennant race? And it still would have been better to let Dubon hit in that situation over ph Singleton. It will be interesting to see the lineup tonight.
I am discouraged as an Astro fan right now. Pitching is really, really inconsistent. nothing like last year. Hitting is in fits and spurts, nothing like last year. And management is extremely short sighted though consistent. It is not looking good for the team, sad to say.
I would not be surprised if Dusty benched Chas today because all of the social media chatter. He is that bitter and stubborn.
He has always disliked Chas but I think something happened over the last week or so. Chas definitely deep in the doghouse.
I fail to see what could be considered asinine about that post. What is it that you disagree with? That I try to be fair to Dusty? That I see logic in some of his decisions? That most here don't see logic in his decisions? That is the extent of my comment, so you tell me which part is asinine.
The arrogance of thinking you see things others don’t. It’s a rude thing to say and it’s definitely false. Asinine is a good word to use for it, yes. Also, pretentious or arrogant works. I mean, it also lacks tact and could be considered tone deaf. It’s just an extremely off putting way to talk to people. I like most of your posts but that one was a bit ridiculous.
Yo, sorry buddies...my coworker has tickets for all 3 games against Yankees and he's back at it today. I expect another lost, not gonna bother.
I so wish James Click was here to check Dusty's b**** ass. If Click was here Singleton would already have been sent down. "My Team" Dusty is no longer accountable.
i wonder the people with "do it for dusty" signs at the game last year are thinking now. at the time, when i saw those sign i said to myself "oh, you didn't watch the whole season didn't you?" do it for dusty. pfft. what a stubborn, senile, grudge-holding, terrorist baseball manager
