He doesn't care about rest at this point. He cares about Meyers/Dubon sitting for long periods of times without any AB's.
Well that wasn't optimal but at least Seattle and Texas lost too That's baseball This team WILL lose at least 5-10 more games this year. JV wasn't good Rodon was. Move on. I predicted 4-2 this week, just like last week. We lost the 1st just like last week (then went 5-0) As long as we win today and tomorrow all is fine with the world.
The two guys Chas could have played in place of were o-fer The best bat vs LHP sat while Rodon was t impressive, one big hit could have knocked him out and who knows what happens It’s Saturday morning and Chas has played twice this week. **** dusty and anyone who isn’t bothered by this bullshit rodon wasn’t good But the bottom of our lineup was very easy to pitch to and for easier when Dubon had to come in
You're honestly expecting them to be up front with injury news? Last game he did this he was back the next day. If he's not back today its anything from a real bad bruise to requiring an amputation (but we won't hear he had that till after the last game of the season).
Agreed. There was an easy out every inning and we're still not getting the best Diaz against lefties. This was perhaps the weakest of lineups they could possibly have against a lefty given everybody who's healthy (including Altuve not being in the lineup).
Rodon threw 2/3 of his pitches for strikes, only gave up 3 hits and walked 1 in 5 innings but wasn't good?
The biggest issue is always Maldonado. Once he plays -- which disallows Diaz at catcher -- the DH spot and lineup is automatically limited and weakened. But Maldy "NEEDS" his 120 GP.
Yahoo sports have the Braves winning the WS, and it is not even close. Wonder if anyone from Yahoo will be playing?
I would think that anyone that's watched any amount of baseball would be picking the Braves. Dodgers should be their biggest competition in the NL and the Braves are handling them in their house so far this weekend.
What was the update (if any) on Altuve? not really. But I thought Altuve talked to the media yesterday, was looking for what he said.
Rodon threw 2/3 of his pitches for strikes, only gave up 3 hits and walked 1 in 5 innings but wasn't good? No. I was working. I listened to the game.
Great lineup for those conditioned that the worst hitter batting leadoff is not close to the usual bad lineup decisions.
