Since 2017 (not counting the 2020 shortened season): Home 295 wins Away 294 wins Nope, that is not a typo.
We've got 3 series vs terrible teams We've got 4 series vs teams with post season aspirations We've got 2 series against mediocre teams
Wasn't it 2017 when the batter's eye was changed? Astros posted a better home record than road every year since '19 -- including 2020 when the discrepancy was its greatest.
MLB Network is pretty good. Heat Heat with Chris Russo is high energy and Alanna Rizzo is a good reporter. Good eye candy on that Network.
Think so. Also redid that centerfield area a couple of times for Torchy's and the Budweiser Brewhouse. Really made that area a lot busier for the batters.
Where is the Yankees thread? Like beating them almost as much as beating the Rangers. I am really psyched about the return of the "professional hitter." If he stay healthy, he could make a HUGE difference down the stretch.
What Torchy's serves up is pretty tasty, but those aren't tacos. It's just good stuff in a tortilla. But I don't think Torchy's is to blame...it's Chik-fil-a and their stupid f*ckin' "Fowl Poles"
You'd hope/expect playing at home would be more of an advantage and a team would be more successful at home then away. That's traditionally the case in most sports.
Always pick a game when LMJ starts at home. Which I realize feels like never with all of the injuries. He's a Cy Young contender at home and a back of the rotation guy on the road.
You’ll see more variance in baseball. Younger teams may play better at home. The Astros aren’t a bad home team…. But they’re also a really good road team. then there’s Colorado which will never allow it’s players to have normal splits no matter how the humidor is working. They’re almost at the point where they have to consider if they can even build a winning team there that’s more than just a one-off.
I gotta say the Yankees are looking like they are one bad move from being a more expensive Angels. Maybe they will do something next year that will change things, but they don't seem threatening at the moment and the near future.
If we looked at other MLB contenders the last 8 years or so I’d imagine they’d have better home records then we do.
Unfortunately I will be radio broadcast only this weekend except for the ESPN game Sunday. I'm considered New York Market so yankees are blacked out on my MLB extra innings. And YouTube tv cut the YES network this year. Hoping there will be a fox game on Friday or Saturday. Was actually hoping sadly for an Apple TV game tonight. But No soup for me.
Made it Trout-proof. In 298 AB at MMP, Trout bats .203/.336/.423 with 13 HR and 37 RBI Overall against Houston... .248/.378/.501 Huge MMP/non-MMP splits for him...
