You are correct...we beat CWS on the road the game before we swept the Cubs (start of an 8-game win streak, btw), I totally misread stuff. Also swept Cleveland, 31st-2nd of August 2-game series don't count as sweeps, btw I probably missed something else that's interesting, let me know: https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2023-schedule-scores.shtml
Conservatively I have the Astros finishing with 94 wins, Seattle with 92 and Texas with 91. Would love to the guys rip off a huge winning streak though. Seattle embarks on a 10 (!) game road trip tomorrow. Texas is home for 9, including 3 against the Astros. The Astros play 15 of the next 21 at home. It’s time to improve on the winning percentage in home games.
Feels like the Astros have been worse in every way at home since we've been on this run (2015 or so --> present) Not sure if the stats back it up but I think they do... less runs, less wins etc etc. As someone who regularly attends home games... it's been annoying.
Its been since 2018 that the Astros have been worse at home in the regular season before this season.
I just want to hear an unhinged inebriated Steve Sparks again. I was cracking up hearing him. Great moment.
