The weird thing isn't putting Scoot and Sharpe over any two Rockets youngster combo, but that they went above Wemby+any random young Spur.
Banchero/Wagner duo had a net rating of 0.0 last year on the court together. Eason/Sengun duo had a net rating of +1.1 last year on the court together. Even Silas couldn't stop our dynamic duo. Jordan/Pippen couldn't have done that.
Easily Green and Sengun for me, though Amen could end up stealing a spot. Scoot/Sharpe is absurd to have in there. One has never played in the NBA and the other would struggle heavily if he had to carry as much offense as Green/Sengun did their first two seasons in the worst constructed team in the league. It's ok though, it makes total sense why our players would be underrated. That's the cost of tanking like maniacs. It slows development and drops the value of players on the roster.
I'd like to thank of it more as the franchise quintet. Amen Jalen Tari Bari Sengun I know VV and Brooks are going to get a lot of run this year, as they should, but I hope this unit gets time together.
Lol folks should stop with the franchise thing. A ball club is a ball club. Los Pollos Hermanos is the true franchise.
We're so lucky to have this core that's perfectly spread out to 5 positions, perfectly balanced defense and offense. There's dynasty potential here if at least 4 of those guys pan out under Udoka.
Amazing duo with Scoot and Sharpe. Sharpe with a very inconsistent rookie campaign and Scoot without a single minute of NBA basketball, but somehow they're better than haliburton/mathurin and others who have actually played and been good. I hate NBA media.
ITT: People still underestimating how much NBA scouts love Scoot Henderson The media is only ranking him so highly because that's what they're hearing from the front office personnel they talk to.
Then the reader has to be smarter than the ranking. Under 25 year olds are not finished players so any ranking is just a subjective projection. Dudes value untapped potential... Even if they were 30 year olds, most folks have different opinions.....tale as old as time.
Yeah that was kinda my point. A team. Not a "franchise" this or that. Maybe just an organically grown group that comes together, matures and wins. Now that they're in "not tank" mode, with a good coach and a couple of yrs together, they start to show it.
100% Although the majority of the roster is unproven, as far as talent and potential, it's pretty deep. When Amen and Cam get up to speed.... This year's second unit will be fun to watch. Amen Porter Cam Tari Landale
