Can you let me know the last time the Texans went “Sizzle” over “steak”?
Was it when they got Mario Williams instead of Vince young or Reggie bush? Or JJ watt when the entire fanbase booed? Or Clowney instead of Bortles despite definitely needing a QB? Or Tytus Howard instead of Dillard… You make it sound like we always pick whoever the fans want just to put butts in the seats but we literally almost never do that. It’s a tiresome schtick that isn’t based on anything other than you wanting Williams or Maye. You wanted us to get Will Anderson instead.. so we got both and now it’s too much to give up. Must be exhausting just always seeing the negative through your hindsight goggles and wanting what you don’t have.

The nail in the coffin for King was that punt return by Dell.

but yes, I’m also surprised by the cut.

Should open a decent amount of cap space with Kirksey and King gone

I liked King, but one report said he's lost a step and played terribly against MIA. The addition of Cam Dantzler (and his plays) and the cap savings iced the decision I guess.

It's not just about the draft. The McNair's care more about the fans coming out for a beer and BBQ than putting a winning product on the field. Do you think the McNair's have a burning in their bellies to bring a championship to Kirby. Or are they more interested in having a winning team to go along with the beer and BBQ? As a long time season ticket holder I know how I feel about this.

Love Des, but Thomas is a better nickel. IMHO

For the record I would've kept Des. Great backup nickel and KR/PR.
