Someone suddenly cares about the accuracy of tweets and memes. I hope there is a fainting couch nearby.

Of course being angry is human. Living in a society and a civilization requires putting anger into context and if so control. If your argument is that anger is justifed and people should be angry and lash out whenever they want to be blunt that is the end of civilization.

And MLK didn't preach anger. He preached the opposite.

In the frequently cited Two Americas speech he also talked about the futility of anger and violence. This doesn't mean people shouldn't press for change and press so forcefully. It's understanding that anger isn't self-justifying.

The problem that I see with your recent posts, and frankly many others on the other side of the political spectrum. Is viewing anger and grievance as not just the justification but the tools for affecting change. We have many other tools and given how the last few elections have gone is showing that peaceful, legal change is possible.

Yes he preached the opposite. And had a approval rating of Mitch McConnell.

What do you think MLK accomplished if he wasn't shot dead? The hardcore racists aren't polite about MLK as they see him as a commie agitator and the average light racist uses his legacy to trash combating racism today by spamming lines about "colorblindness"

And quite frankly it's not your place to tell the black community that their anger isn't justified.

Not being accurate is one thing, depicting an innocent person as a Nazi quite another.

Not surprised that that is lost on you though.

Do you think the Ju'Coby Pittman, the black Democrat city councilor of Jacksonville who called out the hecklers is ridiculous? For @fchowd0311 do you think she has no empathy and was exercising her privilage?

And you're not black either. Was Ju'Coby Pittman in place to tell them?

MLK did help to get the Civil Rights and Voting Rights passed. While he was viewed as an agitator he did also succeed in shaming much of the establishment. HE did so following the same path as Ghandi who shamed the British.

Im not black and I'm not going to judge a local black community heckling a politician who propagates white supremacy memorializing victims of white supremacy.

Do you see it yet? I'm not judging their anger. I try to empathize. That's all you need to do. Or don't comment. Like you said, neither of us are black.

Except there specifically was a black city councilor who spoke out against the hecklers. Does her opinion not mattter?

Also you are arguing that their opinion is justified.

Also @fchowd0311 if all you're about is empathy then why don't you empathize, or just be quiet about the anger of the MAGA side?

You've admitted that your emphathy only extends to who you agree with politically. The others are fascists.

Yeah, I do. There are a ton of weak Democrats and self-serving black people who don’t want to ruffle any feathers.

the fact that this anti-black politician who has done what he’s done to the black community even had the nerve to show his face and speak like he actually cares is honestly insulting

Ju’Coby can take her comments and shove it…I don’t give a damn that she’s black

anti-black DeSantis arresting black voters for publicity and disenfranchising the very people of Jacksonville, and we’re supposed to believe he cares…

My empathy for poor white working class folks who buy into MAGA or DeFascist is that I understand that their concerns about their day to day economic security is being used by politicians to instil fear in migrants and "culture" that they claim is degreasing American excellence and prosperity. I see the vast majority of MAGA individuals as victims to propaganda campaigns weaponizing their day to day frustrations.

That's empathy. Now being sympathetic is an entirely different story.

My question is how often does he go to this area? My guess is usually never. I agree with you in principle, but this demographic may never get a chance to express their frustration to him again.
