I'm a bit on the fence for federal level prosecution but even then he used Hilary as a signal he himself wouldn't have be above the established "decorum".

 

This is the type of stuff that annoys me as an attorney. You won’t get a small claims trial two months after the initial court appearance. Yet, this District Attorney is requesting a trial 60 days away on RICO charges, against a dozen or more defendants who all have their own separate legal counsel and all are entitled to discovery and investigation.

The request is insulting and she sounds unreasonable and ignorant asking for it. It’s a complete waste of time.

I am aware of the right to a speedy trial - etc. However October is absurd.

It is the equivalent of having someone accidentally hit your mailbox and at a settlement conference and the Judge asks what the plaintiff’s settlement demand for the mailbox is and the attorney standing up and saying one hundred billion dollars.

This isn’t going to be resolved in 2023 or 2024, and it shouldn’t be. Everyone involved is entitled to a proper case and investigation. Truth be told, there is a good chance one of the defendants or their attorneys die from poor health or old age before this is complete.

Marco Rubio is 100% right - and I am concerned about it, but the problem is that the case against Trump is really damning and we cannot allow Trump to get away with it or every President on both sides of the aisle will do it too because they know they can get away with it.
