Just can't get over the hump, we get close enough to tie or pass the Rangers and we just can't get there.
Just so much to overcome this year: bad off season, complacency, injuries, poor manager, FO sitting on their hands, etc. The team is starting to look a little defeated. They hear the whispers from the outside and all the talking points surrounding this team this year. It just seems like it all is too much to overcome.
This is amazing - Dusty sent France back out there, if he gets through 3 innings he will be at 100 pitches.
Last night's close loss hurts doubly bad now. It was their for the taking and Dusty played casual like always. Where is the urgency? We're running out of games to close the gap.
Jp France, the organization, the city, everyone needs to thank dusty baker for the way he handled today.
"Then, as the Reds drifted, then nose-dived late in the year, Baker insisted there was no need for urgency."
This is an 'old fashioned ass whooping at home once again. That players meeting didn't have a long lasting effect I guess. Zero urgency from your manager, uninspired line-ups, nothing has really changed. A split against a mediocre Red Sox team at home after getting swept and humiliated by your division rivals...We have less 1/4 season left. No time to be lollygagging.
