Yordan is able bodied enough to start an early game, but somehow was not able bodied enough to pinch hit with the game on the line like 10 hours ago....Dusty's decision making is reaching Bo Porter level stupidity.
Odd, I think Dusty is way past Bo Porter right now, and just mentioned that in another thread. Granted, Porter didn't have as many good players so he had a lot less opportunity to play bad players over them.
Figured they would have to make a move. He was scheduled to start tonight so he's fresh for long relief.
Are they giving Abreu's back a break? He hit last night. I don't get why Baker has refused to put all his best players in the same game?[/QUOTE] Starting Julks over Meyers is the only thing about this lineup I disagree with. Abreu probably should have a day off a couple times this week
He should replace Framber's next start, and let the offense mash. Bring up Blanco and replace Javier's next start. If Blanco or Bielak blows it up too early, perhaps bring in Framber and Javier, and they might be eligible for a win. But they really need to sit. We're not going anywhere long term by continuing to throw gassed pitchers who've been producing Bielak/Blanco results for 2 months while getting no rest. Brown needs a reset too. Worry about skipping France in the final 2 weeks of the season.
Julks is hitting .212 in the minors lower than his MLB average before his recent call-up. In a pennant race, we are hoping Julks hits against his number. That is Toothpick for you, let's hope Julk do some godly stuff. Maybe we need to check if Dusty is doing ungodly things like Pete Rose.
He should have DNP-DH'd twice/week since the beginning of the season -- regardless of well he was playing. Diaz could've gotten reps at 1B since April. It's amazing how poorly this team has been managed all season.
