Sad for Lonzo but I think those BB shoes destroyed his career. He mentioned they were so bad they were getting ripped up during half time.
Man, I was really enjoying Lonzo's story. He was deemed something of a bust, but he had really turned it around. He wasn't a superstar but he had become a really good point guard. I was a fan of his combo of size, defense, court vision and, can't believe I'm saying this, three point shot ability. Hope he's able to make it back to the court. He's way too young to be done.
No, because SAS is doing what he always does. He's not saying the doctors told him, he's implying it so that everyone else makes the connection while he can say he never said that. SAS said Lonzo can't get out of a chair comfortably right now. Lonzo showed he can get out of a chair on one leg right now. It's disingenuous of SAS to act like he didn't imply it's the truth and he just meant it literally as "someone close to you told me and they could be wrong". That's not how he relayed it. He relayed it as though he has some insider true dark news about Lonzo's knees. The truth is Lonzo can get out of a chair with one leg AND he is not ready for the start of the season. SAS's source was wrong, but he won't admit that and behind the scenes he would tell Lonzo "this is my business, I have to do what sells, you play along if you like but I can't admit to my sources being wrong since that's where my money comes from". SAS is entertaining in small doses but I've rarely seen a person who's sources are wrong more often than him - and that's interesting because he's been around a long time and has a lot of power at ESPN.
That’s so crazy. We’re out here working so hard to get a salary, and this guy is getting paid MILLIONS to recover and chill. Wow.
Imagine getting paid $20 MILLION to recover from an injury and maybe not play bball again and retire. What a luxury life.
