Dude can flat out BALL! Why people are against him is beyond me. He's only 23 yrs old and still maturing. How many of us were still making mistakes in our mid to late 20's?

I didn't throw soup at my boss at 20 nor did I storm out on my subsequent boss halfway through the work day at any point during my internships. Mental issues and maturity are reasons why players like GG Jackson who were supposed to be lottery picks get picked in the 2nd round and then usually are out of the league by 25. How or why this needs to be explained to people is kind of funny.

Your battles are not his battles but rest assure, EVERYBODY is battling something. You probably was born with a silver spoon in your mouth, white picket fence, Mom didn't have to work, Dad had a great job, went on Summer vacations, etc, etc.

Well everybody didnt live that life! I didn't, so that's why I can sympathize with KPJ and the fact that it takes time to mature. When he made those mistakes, he was 20, 21, 22....those are college ages.

This is the perfect example of why you shouldn't worry about what people say!

If it was the other way around and the 16yr old was scoring like KPJ was in the video.....it would be KPJ is sorry, he cant beat a 16yr old. So, no matter what, he just cant win with certain Rockets fan. SMH

    * Well documented history of behavior infractions
    * Thrown into starting point guard position by incompetent coach & GM

Perhaps it's not that people are against him. There's a constant narrative that because people are critical of him that they are "against him" somehow.

Fans of a team want everyone to be used in a way that maximizes benefit for the team. Maybe this season we'll see it.

KPJ's versatility, being thrown into "PG" duty...shouldn't be held against him...it's the opposite. What we've seen bodes well for his future as a 2 guard, and secondary ball handler. Whether that happens here, remains to be seen, but he was undeniably our best or second best player for the last couple of years, all the while playing out of position. I think it inevitable that either him or JG gets dealt. And, it's not a foregone conclusion as to who goes. That said, they COULD both work really well with most of the offense running through Sengun.

C'mon now, don't pretend you don't see the blind "hate" for this kid.
True, there have been behavioral/atttude issues, but the trajectory regarding that has been remarkable. This is mostly ancient hstory. (that he needs to stay on top of)
There are some valid concerns, but...

    KPjr will thrive under Ime.

We agree that he (could) thrive under Ime. There's a reason I ended my post with "maybe this year we'll see it", and also said "due to an incompetent coach & GM". It feels like you're craving validation for KPJ.

The statement I was responding to is why do people have issues with KPJ?.
Again you're asking can I see the blind hatred around KPJ?

Answer: yes, I see the haters! I also see his blind backers who wanted him to have success when it was to the detriment of the overall roster and player development last year (as a consequence of PG). OK, done. It's all so meta. We are all so tired of the agenda posters on CFs. Now let's talk about KPJ himself.

Please, basketball gods, let KPJ be used in a wing/guard role this year so we can compare and contrast his skills (scoring, ISO, spot up shooting) with his weaknesses (vision, defensive reads, decision making) and discuss his contributions to winning. I'm actually excited to see that.

There are no "Blind" supporters, we just feel it necessary to balance out the hate which has no basis in fact....

Okay. But was your dad murdered when you were 4 years old? We're all on different paths, homie. And it's beyond unrealistic to expect everyone to be on your timeline; it's utterly ridiculous.

I'm looking forward to KPJ in his new role -- not really sure soupgate etc really matters anymore because we all know that another incident will probably end his time in the NBA.

Yes, I'm not saying KPj is disabled, but we just don't know what he is dealing
with. I criticized Royce White for saying, flying would not be an issue,
when the Rockets asked him pre draft if it was a problem?

Lying about that and then using it as a crutch was wrong, imo.
The PGA had rules against players using a golf cart, so that
golfer with a disability had to walk the course. Rockets couldn't
have Royce take a bus or van to all games.

I feel KPj is just a maturity issue, but how do we know? How does
anyone know for sure? Troubled kids often hide the fact that they
have dyslexia or attention deficit disorder. I believe KPj will grow
out of it. I've often said, I haven't seen him pull a knife on a ref yet.
So he can control it, somewhat. Bobby Knight would throw chairs
in front of a packed arena while in his 40's and 50's. He often
got a free pass. He can choke a player and people excuse him.

    Just think KPj hates:
*This demotion thing to a player who had lesser stats
    .,.........a) while on better team
    ...........b) better coach
...........c) was fighting for playoff run
..........d) TOV's can be due to playing off ball a good portion of the season
...........e) assist difference came about after the Raptors brought in Poeltl

*KPj has demonstrated good restraint to this point. He and Jabari
volunteered for community work, only player in room during Udoka
    press conference.

*Will build trade value in Udoka system while spending most of
his time with a more efficient lineup of the second unit.
Get traded to a team with a fan base that appreciates him.
Orlando would be good for KPj:
    1) KPj...................Anthony Black
    2) Jett Howard.....Gary Harris
    3) Franz Wagner...Caleb Houston
    4) Paolo Banchero...Jonathan Isaac
    5) Wendell Carter....Bitadze

It's amazing how a team with spacing from Jett, Caleb, Gary Harris, Wagner
would open up everything and allow KPj to utilize the whole court (inside-out)
and hit Banchero-Carter-Isaac for some vertical spacing lob dunks.

All of a sudden KPj would have great court vision and 8 assists per game
    to go with that. Something you, @Verbal Christ , @Bobbythegreat , @maj21 ,
    @hlmbasketball, @Plowman,
@D-rock , myself and others envisioned for KPj.

Sucks to see KPj go elsewhere....and we would definitely
see him exceed like SGA, D Fox. Giddy, Cade, Ja Morant
through progression and maturity. But oh well.
With VanVleet the $43M place warmer and Amen
the future point guard......KPj should move on to better.

Kpj sucks at pg, the kpj stans get triggered and thinking folks who state that is hating on him.

We had to overpay for fvv bc kpj sucked at being our primary point guard. Once kpj stans accepts that he sucks at pg the better
