Let's see with Ime and fvv how much of rockets ' problems were caused by Sengun's non-spacing. He doesn't space the floor by a 3-pt threat but he is skilled enough to give guards and coaches to work with. Also it is quite possible that we will see 'Sengun cannot shoot 3s' is just a myth, or a forcing of Silas.

As far as I can remember, Jakob Pöltl does not shoot 3s and FVV was still shooting his regular numbers or slightly worse numbers lately.

Sure, Sengun's lack of spacing was certainly not the root of kpj's dumb plays, walking into double teams, walking to where Sengun is cutting, not giving the ball away soon enough, not hitting the open corner 3s etc. I am more curious about what could be done with Sengun's skill set from a technical, coaching point of view.

I don't see any Russian chicks there as Alp's hometown is 1000 miles away from the popular Russian destinations. Only Saudis and other Arabic tourists go to Black Sea resorts. Thus, these boys decided to chill out themselves rather than dealing with unknown habits of Arabian Peninsula.

He just played full high level games in a international tournament lol. I think he earned like a few days off bro.

And I'm sure they have gyms where ever he is.

How many starting centers in the nba are floor spreading 3 point shooters? Is it really a necessity?

Since AD got his contract renewed recently. (3yr / $183m. ~62m per), looked him up, last couples seasons he's officially listed as C instead of PF for LAL.

    3pt attempts and 3p%.
    1.8 attempts and 18.6% (2021-22)
    1.3 attempts and 25.7% (2022-23)

    Oh, “literally”, is that right?

According to the Athletic center tier rankings the top centers in the nba last season and their career 3pt % and attempts/game were:

    1. Nikola Jokic - 34.8%, 2.9 attempts
    2. Joel Embiid - 33.7%, 3.4 attempts
    3. Anthony Davis - 30.0%, 1.6 attempts
    4. Bam Adebayo - 12.9%, 0.1 attempts
    5. Rudy Gobert - 0.0%, 0.0 attempts
    6. Domantas Sabonis - 32.6%, 1.3 attempts
    7. Robert Williams - 0.0%, 0.0 attempts
    8. Jarret Allen - 18.1%, 0.3 attempts

Of the best centers in the league, only 2 center shoot 3s, and only at around 3 attempts a game on below average %. It would be great for Sengun to develop a 3 point shot but it isn’t nearly the necessity that people make it out to be. More important for him is adding a mid range jumper to counter his drives to the basket, and from the Dirk fades he’s been doing it looks like he’s already developing that.

Those players aren't relevant if you're discussing true franchise players, which is what this thread is. The 2 franchise guys shoot a decent amount, and jokic has been over 38% in 2 of the last 3 years, and embiid was at 37% in 2 of the last 3, though he had a down year last year. So among franchise players who are centers, literally 100% of them are solid 3 pt shooters.

All those guys are less than 6 ft so Sengun is really only 6'3".

If you compare their respective second seasons, the comparison looks like this:

    Jokic (21 years old): 32.4 % 3-point %
    Embiid (23 years old): 30.8 % 3-point %
    Sengun (20 years old) 33.3 % 3-point %

So Sengun was a better 3-point shooter at a younger age in his second season in the NBA than Jokic and Embiid.

Now of course it all depends on what happens next.

And he shot 43% from January until the end of the season albeit on low volume (thank Silas )!

I know you know that but I thought I would add it for the people who keep b****ing about him needing to develop a 3 point shot.

embiid had a down year last year. He also two up years before. You can’t just assume the best he shot is his regular. Looking at the data he projects to be about 35% 3 pt shooter on 3.5 attempts per game. This seems pretty attainable for Sengun.
