I'm just happy I'm seeing 2 or 3 days where temps don't hit 100 but rather in the upper 90s. And even better, we're actually going to see days where nighttime temps go under 80 for a few days. Maybe we'll get some rain in there somewhere, but it doesn't look like it. :(

You sure your condensate line(s) leading out from the pan isn't clogged or something?

Just got back from a week in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Luckily it was 100 in Minneapolis today before I got to the airport so I got to preheat.

Snippet from Jeff Lindner’s email at 6pm tonight

Could be a serious issue.. Crown runs are dangerous and fires can spread extremely fast in such environments

My a/c makings a grinding alarm-like noise at various times when it’s working hard. Had it serviced and, apparently, there is nothing wrong with it. Really?

They f-ing installed the thing and it’s under warranty. In fairness, it wasn’t making the noise when he was here. Very strange. It’s got one of those newer DC blower motors in it that uses magnets and a controller to turn the fan. It runs fine but makes these intermittent noises at times that aren’t too audible but can be slightly annoying. Seems to happen at the hotter parts of the day when it is working harder. Guess I’ll try to get it in video hopping up in the attic when it does it and show the guy on the winter inspection. Whatevers.

Think of hearing the most annoying alarm sound in history...like whiney ants all letting out a "AHH!!!" at the same time. It could be a high pitched "MEH!!!".

    "AHH!!!..MEH!!!"

Nobody built anything for 3-months of 200 degree weather. Weatherstripping on my car is melting.

I've also heard of foundation issues due to lack of rain, supposedly putting a soaker hose around the foundation and running it 15 min each am will help settle it down

I was unhappy that it didn’t travel to my side of the bridge. We got nothing but huge wind gusts that knocked down all sorts of limbs.

Few weeks ago, my upstairs unit wasn't cooling and my downstairs unit wasn't clicking on. I was in full panic mode prepared to fork over 8K for a couple of new coils. Been down this road before in our old house and was expecting the worst.

A local company came out Monday morning and let me know it was a clogged drainage pipe and it was affecting both units. 30 minutes and $125 later, both units were pumping so strong I had to actually turn the thermostat up because my house was freezing!

I'm really lucky, I'm right SE edge of this fire.... about a mile and a half away Wednesday night.

The emergency alert in the middle of the night saying it had jumped the highway was unpleasant news. I don't know for what purpose, but it seems like firefighters are trying really hard to hold the line at my little intersection. Maybe they don't want to lose the little volunteer fire station or maybe it's the major power lines that they're trying to protect.... but either way I'm grateful.

Nice! Its good to hear about an honest HVAC company, I have seen to many who just want to sell a new unit, mine is only 6 years old and I had Abacus out and the guy was like " you have the wrong type of AC for your house, I told him its only 6 years old and you think the builder put in the wrong type? He goes yea, and I said GTFO of my house.................ended up being 2 bad dampers. Now I use AirTech (used to be Absolute Comfort Air) and they do a nice job, better to have one company do it so you don't get the old, well X company did this wrong scenerio.
