RIP. I did not know him beyond this site, but he seemed like a good person here and it seemed like everyone who did know him in real life thought a lot of him.

Strokes come in two kinds. A clotting stroke might be more related to poor health while a bleeding stroke might just be an inherent weakness in the blood vessels in the brain. It seems like those are more a matter of luck.

Things like strokes and heart attacks can happen to even healthy in shape people too. Although rarer.

Larry was a great moderator on this site. He was very level-headed and not afraid to let people know if they fell out of line. I remember one time years ago when I was very susceptible to go off on posters if they just looked at me funny - he called me out on it and told me to take a chill pill (he actually said to quit acting like a d-bag). I wasn't happy with his rebuke but looking back it was something that I needed. And I have tried to stay civil ever since that happened - but all the stuff he did with the torrents, moderating chats, and just all the other stuff he did here in general was beyond huge. His passing is a loss that will never be replaced.

I used to watch his highlights torrents over and over again! Loved those so much in the Yao era. Never met him off the boards, but he was very friendly to me. RIP to the CFGOAT!

There’s an increased chance of stroke from testosterone therapy. Not saying that’s the case with Foxx but he had pressure to maintain his physique from his Netflix deal. IMO it’s not worth it.

Since this is a pretty tight community, I feel like Larry would be ok with people here knowing it was aortic dissection.
