I'm so f**king done with Dusty. Dubon in CF, Singleton at 1B....he's not even trying to field the best team to win. Even if Verlander demands Maldonado, fine, whatever. We've still got nothing at 1B, yet Diaz is on the bench.
It's flat out stupid. Dusty wants his 9 best defensive players in his delusional mind. He says it will be alow scoring game with JV on the mound- how about trying to score runs? He likes Dubon over Meyers or Chas due to his throwing arm eventhough he only gets to 3/4 of the balls they can. He doesn't like Diaz at 1B and can't get Chas In the game if Yordan is in LF. Flat out stupid.
This is the JV lineup for the rest of the regular season. I hope this doesn’t travel to the playoffs and I’m assuming it won’t. I’m guessing Yordan in LF is gonna be mostly an October thing at this point.
Assuming that's a given, which it isn't...quite far from it. Yet we deal with this egotistical POS sorry ass excuse for a manager playing lineups like it's April. He just is incapable of admitting he was wrong unless Crane personally steps in and forces him to play the right team.
I think I’d be ok failing with Diaz at this point. I could live with it rather than endure this slow torture approach.
Dusty will say that this is his best defensive lineup and he wants to play his best defensive lineup with JV pitching because it'll be a low scoring game. He hasn't figured out that his team is scoring less because he is overthinking defense.
Why is Hensley even on the team? Send him back and call up another reliever. Why isn't Abreu back? His 10 days are up. Will Brantley ever play a game in 2023?
All Singleton needs to do is get a big hit tonight. Of course any hit is asking alot of him right now but you gotta believe.
