Daryl created a monster Monster was colicky, entitled, hurt people on its path Now the monster bit its creator Frankenstein died and the monster was remorseful in the end If the NBA intervenes and penalizes the Sixers, again, will this be the end of Daryl? Will Harden see the error of his ways when he realizes that no NBA team will heavily invest in an aging, selfish, unrestrained former superstar?
Dude is still getting 35m for this year too......MY PREDICTION is that DM offers him a deal for 3 years near Max and this gets settled.... DD
Lmao the way you dudes talk about these two like they ruined us as a franchise is hilarious. Clutchfans...the hub of ignorance.
So if McHale got fired unfairly because of Harden, how come Mr tough guy Mchale hasn't been able to get a job from the 29 other teams in the NBA? It's because he's a clown. The straight shooter tough guy act has gotten old. Verbal toughness is not mental toughness. If he wants to know what toughness looks like, he can rewind to what his opposite number did to him in the 86 Finals. I'm talking about a sophomore Hakeem Olajuwon who outdefended, out rebounded and out blocked him while scoring roughly the same in fewer minutes.
I blame Morey for firing Adelman and hiring McHale. The only reason Morey hired such a terrible coach is so that he can influence coaching with his analytics or what not. Harden under Adelman would have been so sweet
Idk why but your takes always come across as superficial and stupid. there is an established track record of downright cancerous behavior, to ignore objective and well Documents evidence over a 10 year span to make stupid assertions..is well stupid I don’t like morey, I don’t like harden. That being said morey is in the right here. James hasn’t won jackshit and is probably the GOAT / cliche playoff choker because of this mentality.
Just put Tillman to the side for a just a second? What have Daryl and Harden done except make us successful? Its crazy.
Harden over stepped as a player to have influence on trades which set a path for the franchise. Demanding a Westbrook trade, "its him or me" w CP3 was the domino that fell that impacted the past few years for us. It is OK to want out, but when you make public demands you know he is putting a time constraint on leadership, when you put these time constraints and demand such specific things, like only wanting to go to a specific team, then it really makes things difficult for us and we lose all leverage. There are ways to go about things, but he didn't seem to appreciate the fact that Houston believed in him and catered to his every need, let him skip practices / come in late on his own plane, do as he pleased regardless of the impact to the team. There should be some compromise, a team meeting your demands of a trade while under contract is them making a compromise, as a player demanding to be traded to Brooklyn or Philly only was just greedy. People always say it is a business, but in business there is etiquette and professionalism, you do not throw a fit or throw your boss under the bus to try to force his hand. The fact that Harden blew up the roster and our assets and took no responsibility for it and then demanded out as a result of his own influence is one of the worst things a player has done to this franchise. This is coming from someone who watched almost every single game for eight years because of James.
Yea the Westbrook trade was bad. He made a mistake not wanting to work it out with Cp3 but to say that trade set us back for any meaningful period of time is ridiculous. Harden has more than made up that worth to this franchise more times over than that crappy trade. Same with Daryl. Harden also didnt just request Brooklyn or Philly he gave out a list teams hed be willing to go to. Its our fault for making the trade with Brooklyn when we didnt have to.But I understand you anger at him. But to act like he left us in pieces or to be this mad about it is too much. Its not just a Harden problem, its an NBA problem. Superstars have to do this to get where they want to go, just the name of the game. I dont like it either. But like I said previously, the Cp3 trade does not undue the sheer amount of success and winning him and Daryl have brought the Rockets.
