If we’re taking value the US women’s team should be paid more than the men. The Women’s team has historically been far better than the men and names like Rapinoe and Morgan are more well known than the men’s. The fact that we even have a thread about Megan Rapinoe shows her name Is far more recognizable than anyone in the USMNT.

"Value" is determined by how much money goes into the pot. Sponsorships, tickets, etc. There is more interest in men's soccer, so there is more money to be distributed. It's really not that complicated. Women get paid more where there is more interest in certain activities by women than men doing the same thing. Maybe modeling, figure skating, gymnastics, beach volleyball, I'm sure there are other examples.
