his stance is constantly changing. the only thing consistent is you can count on him to defend whatever musk does.

He's a character alright and about as funny as the local meteorologist talking about the slight chance of rain in a couple days like it's the flood from Noah's Ark.

If Equifax couldn't keep customer data safe, would anyone with a brain trust Musk to?

Not sure why they need to store sensitive biometric data at all, the same goes for ID.me, which won huge government contracts for ID verification. It should involve real-time verification and then discard the personally sensitive data shortly afterward, preferably within a day. Storing such data is just asking for trouble.

so a new “verified” badge for those that opt in? If so, that’s a welcome change.

This is a fairly decent article and highlights my concerns about Musk. He has the potential to become very very powerful through the deployment of his business empire...and that isn't a compliment. We should be very concerned instead of mocking him over removing a block feature.
A person has to be a complete idiot to continuously downplay his accomplishments and ignore the overall deployment of his business strategy.

This cant be real................who would do that? I wouldn't do that for any company, I would never submit a selfie alongside my TXDL and then put it out on the web, that's just asking for trouble.

If he hadn't killed twitter before, that will certainly do it.

Downplaying his accomplishments is a way to show society that we aren't in a merit based society.

It's helpful in my opinion. We need to show the world that it's an embarrassment that someone like Musk is more famous than people like John B Goodenough. Shows how we worship capital over sincere intellectual curiosity.

Initially it was just the US government, US states, and US municipalities subsidizing Musk's business empire...... but when China starts stepping in then loyalties are questioned.
