Why isn't there a rocketswatch? They ran out of things there is a reason why they had to play this tournament. They lack guard play and when things are not going well, they tend to go hero ball, lacking offensive identity and patience. With alperen having 2 early fouls it is even worse. Croatia had a good start as well, resulting in 12 pt deficit now.
Not a zubac thing though. Croatia definitely playing better as a team. and if you wanna name someone, it is saric.

This Turkish team are looking dishevelled right now. They should've played Sengun much earlier, there's only really him and one other Turkish player (can't see the number due to sketchy stream) who're looking like they're playing at the same level as the Croatians. The Croatians look like a ball club, ball's zipping on offense and they're disrupting well on defense. Sengun might have to assert himself if they're gonna come back but Saric and Zubac are both looking great so it's an uphill struggle.
If there is not a significant improvement from guard play, turkey will lose badly, unless alperen creates a miracle.
Ironic with the common sentiment on CF, but the Turkish team evidently isn't focused around Sengun who is clearly their most talented player and I do think they're struggling because of it. On the flip-side of the coin, the Croatians are smart enough that their NBA players ARE their focus, and the rest of the team are playing perfect roles around them. Actually makes it look easy for them a lot of the time in comparison.

Starting to look real bad for Turkey here, there's no creativity or cohesion at all. The guards trying to hero ball their way into the paint like a 22-23 Houston Rockets game haha.
Pretty dismal effort by Turkey all the way around. They lost their composure, shooting touch. And all the weaknesses of Sengun/Turkey are on display here.
Ah yeah, should probably have put "talented NBA players" haha. They're just looking like they belong in a different tier than the Croatians tbh, they're playing a more primitive brand of ball and it doesn't look like the Croatians are even having to try all that hard tbh.
