that's President Robert L. Peters now

Joe Biden used email pseudonyms while VP to loop in Hunter on Ukraine, government business

    https://nypost.com/2023/08/18/all-the-times-joe-bidens-aliases-showed-up-on-his-sons-laptop/

    excerpt:

Then-Vice President Biden emailed Hunter under the aliases “Robin Ware,” “Robert L. Peters” and “JRB Ware” between 2014 and 2016, keeping his son abreast of scheduled talks with then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Kyiv Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, among other communications The Post first revealed in 2021.

The elder Biden had one of his aides, John Flynn, send his daily schedule to the private email address “Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov” at least 10 times between May 18 and June 15, 2016, copying Hunter on a May 26 message with a note about an “8.45am prep for 9am phonecall [sic] with Pres Poroshenko.”

    ***
A June 15, 2016, meeting with Prime Minister Groysman led to an announcement of “$220 million in new assistance to Ukraine,” records show. Hunter had also been cc’d about that meeting on his father’s schedule the day before.

Weiss was going to let Hunter Biden off until the whistleblowers got involved

Inside the Collapse of Hunter Biden’s Plea Deal

    https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/19/us/politics/inside-hunter-biden-plea-deal.html

    excerpt:

Earlier this year, The Times found, Mr. Weiss appeared willing to forgo any prosecution of Mr. Biden at all, and his office came close to agreeing to end the investigation without requiring a guilty plea on any charges. But the correspondence reveals that his position, relayed through his staff, changed in the spring, around the time a pair of I.R.S. officials on the case accused the Justice Department of hamstringing the investigation. Mr. Weiss suddenly demanded that Mr. Biden plead guilty to committing tax offenses.

Now, the I.R.S. agents and their Republican allies say they believe the evidence they brought forward, at the precise time they did, played a role in influencing the outcome, a claim senior law enforcement officials dispute. While Mr. Biden’s legal team agrees that the I.R.S. agents affected the deal, his lawyers have contended to the Justice Department that by disclosing details about the investigation to Congress, they broke the law and should be prosecuted.

“It appears that if it weren’t for the courageous actions of these whistle-blowers, who had nothing to gain and everything to lose, Hunter Biden would never have been charged at all,” a team of lawyers for one of the I.R.S. agents said in a statement, adding that the initial agreement reflected preferential treatment.

Comer who has flatout lied and fox who always lies are your narrative..............pass. If he is guilty then he will go to jail, no one is above the law

Comer has lost all credibility after he bold face lies about past events, you have to at least admit that, but if your narrative is to just say that Hunter is guilty without actual proof beyond hearsay then you're not making much of a case other then spamming tweets which is just hyperbole at this point

LOL i absolutely love how they use "Mr. Biden" as if its joe biden when the story literally says Hunter biden. Wow hunter biden lawyers are building a defense for their client. That your bombshell? LOL jesus christ.

Why cant any of you morons say Hunter biden isntead of Mr. Biden. Its so disingeious. Confusing your low iq followers who dont know the difference between Mr biden and joe biden. Hilarious

their entire plan is to yell MR. BIDEN as loud as they can because they want people to think hunter is somehow Joe biden. Its so weird and it works on their low iq braindead followers sadly.

Generally if hardcore Putin/Trump enthusiast (and longtime @basso hero) Glenn Greenwald is tweeting about something - it's a good sign that the very worst people in the world are trying to get you to support it.

Thanks @J.R. for the news - hopefully Biden locks those 2 whistleblowers in Guantanamo and throws away the key (or puts them on the slow boat to Vladivostok from which they all came) :)

    highlights:

It’s really inexplicable to me. First, we had basically five years of behind-the-scenes investigation with no transparency, no action, and some questions being asked, what’s taken so long?

But in the last couple of months, we’ve seen a pattern here. … DOJ moves toward a very lenient disposition. They’re just about to lock in that lenient disposition, and then there arises pressure, either through whistleblower testimony or through public scrutiny and then DOJ backs off and says, ‘Actually, we’re not going to do that since it’s been called out. We’re gonna try to up it a little bit.’ Then that happened again.

And then, they go all the way to appointing a special counsel, the same guy who’s been presiding over the case for five-plus years already.

I genuinely am perplexed by what DOJ’s doing here.

I think they’ve made a real mess for themselves and now they’re going to have to deal with the consequences of it.

LOL..... 5 years into the investigation.... and we are using the classic conservative schtick of "well liberal media can't keep it a secret any longer" just so they can keep up the scam as long as possible.

    It's adorable!

One of the many MAGA conservatives that actively took part in the election lies......

Naturally @Os Trigonum is unconcerned about the veracity of a known liar.

I don't agree with the political views from half the guys on the panel or Hoover on the whole, so use your brain or something equivalent when sifting out bias and suppressing that jerky knee.

This dropped right after the NYT/Politico/etc reveals. I started the clip to the Weiss slow walking the investigation and letting the Statute of Limitations lapse for several charges, among other things...

The entire episode was interesting for me, though.

No Fox News host will ask this but I would really like it if the moderators of a GOP debate asked a followup question to the candidates the DOJ shouldn't be politically weaponized:
Do you support the ongoing investigation of Hunter and Joe Biden?
