    Chasing What?

I don’t recall many girls at the Pantera shows that I went to. Unless, of course, you are speaking of their hairband beginnings. I loved Cowboys from Hell and VDOP just like all the other derelict metal heads did.

Yep a boat load of girls during power metal days, within a year I was out of that and going to Primus shows and from there full alternative

I was a metal head until it started to bore me in my late teens, maybe 20 yrs old. Then I dove into the alternative scene for the next 15 years or so. I really stopped searching for new artists around maybe ‘08 or so. Sure, someone will turn me on to something here and there but I’m not feverishly seeking out new stuff like I used to.

Now you're talking...I went from Metallica/Anthrax/Iron Maiden/etc.. straight into the 90's...Ministry, Smashing Pumpkins "Gish", NIN, Primus, then there was "grunge"

We were at Game 6, took the day off from school. I literally bawled my eyes out like a little candyass when it was over. My buddy did the same, we were 12 y.o. Our dads understood.

Yep, pretty much everything you listed is in my top list of all time. After I found Ministry and NIN I found Godflesh, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, when grunge hit for me it was Soundgarden and AIC, I of course bought Nevermind but lost interest pretty quick , I was just weird.

I was about to turn 17, my first car was a Capri Turbo 4cylinder and I was so pissed I took it out on that car. I went to a closed commerical parking lot in Lewisville TX and just did donuts and burnout downing Mickeys, that was a dumb bellend thing to do but I was pissed. I thought for sure the city would finally get a chip.

    Brian Jonestown Massacre
    Built to Spill
    Guided by Voices
    Interpol
    The Dandy Warhols
    Afghan Wigs

I love those bands. Not necessarily my favorite at this point but I was immersed in them at one time. wanted to throw them out there.

Btw, the best band in the world, The Church, will be in Austin on the 26th of Oct (I got my ticket) and Houston on the 27th (thinking of going to that one too).

The 2 greatest old-school Houston band names were

    Small Craft Advisory
    Sprawl

    They were good bands too.

2 biggest bands from my area were Good Charlotte and Jimmies Chicken Shack.

The latter was much better. Kick ass band before they were signed. Unreal actually.

You’re gonna rattle off more than me. I was in college in Houston 92-95. I am from the Baltimore/Washington area. The Joint Chiefs were a good band.
