I don't think 4 million would be enough (not for me, at least).

Yall'll hear from my lawyer and cpa before you hear from me.

No qualms about spreading it around, but you gotta have protocols involved.

Try to make 8. Plus pretty soon 4 won't be worth much. Like a 100k used to be a good salary now its like entry level. You could get a decent house for 600k now its a small town house in the loop.

Pay off stuff I owe, use some of it to invest, and put the rest in savings.

We all know he basically had a gun to his head as he was delivering this correction to his earlier statement lol.

We also know what he would have spent the money on :D.

This is actually what I would do.

You could buy several hundred units of apartments with this as seed money. One of my mentors has 10k+ units and is a billionaire. Real estate is where the true wealthy put their money; it always goes up in value and has so many tax sheltering loopholes.

    1. Pay off my mortgage
    2. Hire a fulltime driver (I really hate driving in Houston)
    3. Astros and Rockets season tickets - preferably suites (maybe Texans...we'll see how they look this year)
    4. Assorted upgrades to the house that we've been putting off
    5. Invest the rest and live off the interest and earnings without ever touching the principle. I probably wouldn't even quit my job, to be honest. Just live off my normal income plus my investment(s)

On the real, I could probably spend the entire $4M on my dumb, ancient house.

It’s not enough money to do anything meaningful with besides retire and live off of, if I am being honest. I couldn’t figure out a way to make grow.
