I dont think Verlander asks for Dubon to be his personal CF. This is all on Dusty...at least Altuve is good to go.
It's at a point now where winning the World Series this year is the only thing that will redeem Dusty in my book. So much has been left on the table with these dumbass lineups that the whole universe of playoff seeding, division, byes, and home field is affected by these lineup cards. Any failure in the postseason (if we get there) will make me call back to this and believe that if didn't give away so many games by not putting out our best lineups possible down the stretch, we would have been in a better position to make a postseason run.
When Diaz does get lucky enough to play Dusty now bats him 5th. Who the hell makes someone you deem good enough to bat 5th a part-time player?
Jake Meyers has an .856 OPS versus lefties, and is an elite defensive CFer, and he's on the bench against a lefty with a flyball pitcher. Dustys stupid ass choices just gives stuff away. Every game, every damn game. So many f**king runs have been left on the board this season

Silver lining if there is one maybe we get a new manager next year, move on from maldy, find a way to dump abreu contract, get everyone healthy. There is still time this year but I am not feeling optimistic at the moment. Too must inconsistency. Too many question marks about this team both with pitching and with offense. Also seems like we have been on top so long that there are other hungrier teams out there that want it more than we do. Agree. Further, Dubon should be used only in infield. If Baker has to play Dubon give Bregman or Pena the day off. Dubon does not look comfortable playing the outfield.

Thats the frustrating part, for everyone who says its a long season and there are 162 games, it can come down to 5-6 games that make the difference between division title and a wild card or worse just missing the wild card. I feel we give away some games when we dont need to and it typically will come back to bite you in the ass, put the best line up out there every day..............albeit we know there will be injuries and guys need days off but I don't think dusty manages that well and to not have Diaz out there more is a joke, the dude can rake, who knows how many games that could have helped in crucial situations. Glad dusty got his ring but now your just an old fuddy duddy who thinks he`s too smart for his own good.
