Here's Chas 35 HR, 29 2B, 4 3B, 105 RBI, 69 BB, 191 K Bregman: 24 HR, 22 2B, 3 3B, 102 RBI, 92 BB, 95 K You can also add 14 GIDP for Tucker, 23 for Diaz and 19 for Bregman
Maybe Dusty will change his outlook with Altuve possibly needing a day off, but I fear we could be in for another Dubon/Kessinger/Maldonado day tonight. Hopefully Dusty puts Dubon at 2B and Verlander can actually pitch with his best outfield for a change.
Who wants to work on their birthday? Give the man the day off to relax and watch Diaz get some hits and throw out runners.
With a LHSP on the mound this woukd not be the end of the world. It would be a disaster w/ a RHSP. vs LHP Dubon 120 wRC+ Maldy 131 wRC+ Kessinger 169 wR+ Keep in mind due to uncommon nature of LHP these are all less than 100 PA, and Kessinger is only 10. vsRHP Dubon 68 wRC+ Maldy 31 wRC+ Kessinger 47 wRC+ And about 3× the PA.
Might not be a bad thing. We don’t have to see Dubon, Kessinger, and Maldy in the lineup against Seattle.
You are 100% correct about Maldy being predictable. There were time early in the season that I felt like Maldy was telling the hitters what pitches were coming. I mean if we know what pitches we’re coming, I’m sure MLB hitters do too.
Yes, it was a poor attempt at sarcasm - as he still gets booed for crimes he didn't commit, and we know how petty Yankees fans continue to be. So, we know for a fact, based on what other players reported, that Altuve did not partake. So why be so defensive about it? Why take this ish so seriously?!? Moving on, but just to be clear, I registered here at Clutchfans almost 20 years ago because I love the Rockets (and the Astros). Been a fan since Cheo Cruz played for my hometown Ponce Leones in the Puerto Rican winter league, and saw him later donning a weird rainbow uniform on TV, and I said "THAT'S my team".
Michael Brantley, my favorite Astro, appears to be coming back soon. Sooner the better. You talk about make a difference. As you all know, we are in dogfight with Texas and Seattle. The Rangers are proving tough to catch and Seattle is on our heels. We need a boost.
