Looks like an off day for LB Blake Cashman. He isn’t dressed out. LB Christian Kirksey and TE Brevin Jordan still not practicing with injuries. Texans tight end Dalton Keene is back practicing Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel told reporters they will hold WR Jaylen Waddle (midsection injury) out of contact drills in joint practices & game vs. Texans this week. Waddle told team he’s ready and wants to go but McDaniel said they are protecting him from himself. Not long-term. We got team drills on both practice fields. CJ Stroud starting with the 1’s against the Dolphins’ first team. First fight: Christian Harris and Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson. Harris slung him around to the sideline and Wilson took a swing. Both were pulled back by their teammates. A second fight, again on the Texans defensive side. A group tackle on the left turned into a brief push-around. Dissolved in a few seconds. Two throws from CJ Stroud in the first series, two completions . The second completion was a pass over the middle to Dalton Schultz. CJ Stroud tríes to throw it deep to Xavier Hutchinson on a deep post route but it was a little out of reach. During the first session of team with 1s vs 1s Both DLs have been physical and have slowed down both running attacks. The Texans have allowed tua and Tyreek to connect on a couple plays for good gains. CJ and Dalton Schultz have hooked up for a couple competitions. CJ Stroud has had a few plays where he’s not sure where to go with the ball. Holding it on a few that would have resulted in a sack. George Fant is struggling with Jaelan Phillips. Christian Harris just intercepted Tua. CJ has gone deep a few times but each time has fell incomplete. CJ and Tank connected on an intermediate gain. Not sure if it woulda been a sack or Stroud just being a playmaker. Davis Mills just threw a pick to Andrew VanGinkel. CJ Stroud just threw a short pass over the middle to Nick Vannett. Vannett was stripped by LB David Long. Recovered by Dolphins. Skylar Thompson just threw a 70 yard td to Braxton Berrioa. I think the second team defense was out there on that one. (3rd team) The first team period is over. Watching the offense , I’d say Dolphins D got the better of Texans offense. Texans having trouble with the pressure. Dalton Schultz was the standout catches against the Dolphins first and second team defense. He was the only one making plays for CJ. The Texans first team defense allowed some underneath passes. Some got YAC. Some didn’t. DL was effective against the Dolphins OL. Harris with the interception of Tua. Dolphins DBs for the most part had success against the Texans WR. X. Howard had a PBU guarding Noah Brown. Flag was thrown though. CJ went deep to Nico Collins twice and both fell incompletion. A pass to Robert Woods fell incomplete. A deep ball to Hutch also fell Inc. Red zone drills. CJ Stroud throws a TD in the corner to Tank Dell. CJ Stroud threw a TD pass to Dalton Schultz in red zone. Schultz is killing today. Team redzone. The Texans D allowed 2 tds to Tua. Then forced an INC on tua in the end zone. On the other side CJ Stroud had a highlight play where he was under pressure and threw a TD off balance to Dalton Schultz. Dolphins media says he was sacked by Ogbah. TD IN MY EYEZ Tank Dell has three red zone touchdowns today from CJ Stroud. Crowd is going wild. Tua threw another td in the end zone. It was tight defense and coulda been outta bounce but the ref said td. DP just had a very very nice run for a good gain. CJ Stroud just had an effective drive on the move the ball period. Got multiple first downs to Robert Wood. Tua also had an effective drive on the move the ball period. Got multiple first downs to Chosen, Smythe, and Ezukanma. First two plays of 2 minute drill, Tua hits Durham Smythe and Tyreek hill for big gains. But Jalen Pitre gets a pick-6 two plays later, while yelling “Let’s go!” as he runs down the sidelines Tua just threw a pick 6 to Jalen Pitre to end practice. Special play by Pitre. This erased what could’ve been a rough end to the day. Tua hit Durham Smythe and Tyreek Hill for deep gains of 38 and 16 yards right before the interception.
Tank dell destroying the Texans in practice, Patriots in preseason, and now the Dolphins in Joint practice. He sounds like WR1. Haven't heard Nico Collins name one time.
We will see when real bullets are flying. Easy to run when you can’t get hit. He still is an average athlete, that’s never going to change
