Morey tampered to get Harden out of Houston and tampered to get Harden out of Brooklyn. Now he tampered to get Harden out of Philly.
I think in the end Morey's reputation will have taken more of a hit for this than Harden's, especially if Embiid's twitter profile edits turn out to be him wanting out of Philly. Harden's reputation is what it is, I don't think his legacy is going to change because of this, but Morey's just might. I honestly don't care who is in the right or wrong here, I'm glad this isn't how our season is starting first and foremost, I feel like both parties owe the other nothing. Harden doesn't owe loyalty to Philly especially if he feels lied to and betrayed and if they don't want to give him a certain amount of money, they don't have to... I do think though it ends up looking worse for Philly and being worse for the GM, Owner, all the FO especially if it ends up upsetting Embiid because for him it suddenly looks like another lost season. Might be time to start a thread asking what we'd give up for Joel Embiid...

So after looking at the LOOOONG track record of Harden's diva antics and now this public beef with Morey why would any sane GM want to risk their job investing in this clown. He DESTROYS teams!!

Morey is wrong here everyone in Houston should know this. He is a liar and always has been but he always respected James and James is finding out how he treats guys who he doesn't see as the main guy. They are assets to be lied to and taken advantage of to get whatever he needs done. I think this backfires on Morey though. His word means nothing now. Harden is not the guy to get into this type of fight with, he is not ben simmons if this keeps up it will piss off fans and players and Morey will be fired by next summer.
If I have to bet, I think Morey will be gone. The reason is, most likely Joel will get James’ back here, player solidarity. If a fellow player got stiffed, Joel can’t side with the Stiffler Stifferson, he’ll lose his rep with the players. We’ll see. deMornay is a slimy weaselly cat, he knows how to suck owners’ dongs, has done it for decades… But that may be the end here for him, I don’t see Joel siding with him here.
Daryl Morey is a narcissist and a sociopath. Engulfing his entire reputation in flames in one fell swoop. Even Draymond Green has better sense than Daryl.
I am sure he is a loving father though.....supporting his daughter. Everyone has a darker side, and his is doing his job..... I never considered Daryl a superior GM, those people that once held him in high regards, were those that are his haters now.... I am indifferent, if that makes me a sociopath, have at it. Folks like to call other people names, that is all there is to see here.
They have too much history....this like having your 3rd round of marriage, not going to work this on and off thing. The Clippers are the cemetery of the NBA.....there is nothing to say about that.
