During a court deposition, Ivana Trump—Donald's first wife and mother to Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka—accused the president of raping her in 1989. The private account was described in former Newsweek reporter Harry Hurt III’s 1993 book, Lost Tycoon. It details the alleged "violent assault," in which Trump pulled out fistfuls of his ex-wife’s hair after receiving a painful operation on his scalp.

"He jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months," Hurt wrote. "Ivana is terrified.… According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidants, 'he raped me.'"

On it's face it seems like a smart move by Weiss and Garland to approve. With the likely impeachment of Hunter Biden circus ginning up, Weiss gives himself the ability to have more independence and separation from the more complex process of main Justice.

This also likely has to do with the plea deal falling apart and them showing that they are willing to press normal charges, and go to trial.

Would be interested to see if something new changed here, but my guess is not. Weiss probably should have been appointed months ago before the House GOP went on a warpath.

This is the issue with the democractic party. They always play nice and play by the rules only for the republicans to **** all over them. No matter what special status they make Weiss these scumbags on the right will always spin their conspiracies.

Yesterday @AroundTheWorld was so dumb he didnt even realize Weiss was a Trump nominee.

Another case though of evidence of Merrick Garland just being way too timid and ponderous before making decisions. I get that it's great to try and restore faith in the DOJ, but the fact is Trump appoints henchman and GOP fixers while the GOP is going to make wild accusations, lie about, and demagogue regardless of who you appoint. Biden should have just nominated someone more like Jack Smith to be AG in the first place. Who cares about what the GOP is going to say because they'll say what they want regardless.

Weiss may add some community service to the plea deal when this is all said and done.

“…Delaware US Attorney David Weiss buried it again when provided with the document in 2020 by Attorney General Bill Barr, after it had been vetted as credible by the US attorney in Pittsburgh.

Weiss inexplicably hid the FD-1023 from IRS and FBI investigators working the Hunter Biden criminal probe.”

@dobro1229 this is my point exactly. No matter what democrats do these scumbags will always spin their braindead conspiracies cuz their not interested in the facts and never was.

This moron claims Weiss hid the FD1023 form from the fbi when the fbi is the one who gave Weiss the form. The fd1023 form is a fbi compliant and originated in summer of 2020 while trump was president. The idea that the a US attorney hid a fbi compliant from the fbi shows you how smart these people are.

These people are the dumbest mother ****ers alive on planet earth and they have no interest in the truth and never did. Same with @Salvy @AroundTheWorld @Commodore @bigtexxx

    It's always been like this

So I guess the magas *don't* want a trump-appointee as an independent special counsel investigating Hunter Biden?

Garland is such a ****ing loser. He thinks by playing nice you'll somehow stop the conspiracies. He should never have been AG and hes way over his head. Nothing that comes out of a Hunter investigation will ever be accepted by these maga scumabgs. They're literally in this thread spewing conspiracies that can be debunked with a 5 second google search.

These right wingers are nothing but illiterate trolls who want to destroy this nation

So I guess you felt the plea deal offered by Weiss was sufficient and of precedent?
