I understand the intuition on the few games, but that isn't what the data I've seen shows. A big part of lineups that include Maldy/Kessigner/Dubon is a roster construction / injury issue. If your two catchers are Maldy and Diaz and across 1B/DH you don't have great options, Maldy is going to play a significant amount whether he sucks or not. The lineup that people thought would mash, scored the fewest runs in the series. There is a lot in baseball beyond manager decisions.
Listen, Astros put pressure on you I see another championship series Hopefully world series but we'll see Nothing but positive energy
why not pitch hit for jon there baffles my mind. just dumb mistakes like that make you lose respect for dusty over time
they fought back well. we still have a series against the rangers so keep it under 3 games astros and yall will be good. but they are never out of it. on tuesday when I turned the TV on and they were down 6-1, I decided to watch because you know they can make a comeback. on to the next one
This one is 100% on Dusty for not protecting his young arm, he should’ve been out of there after a quality start
Man.. Astros an inch from tying the game. Urias with some ridiculous save. They got the breaks. I will tell you what though. Baltimore probably wants nothing to do with Houston in the playoffs. Feels like Baltimore had the luck bounce their way a few times. If that evens out, I think Houston wins pretty easy in a 7 game series.
Hit the ball well all game, but credit the Orioles.. they played great defense. Luck was not on our side this day.
Good Ole stupid Dusty. Same song, different game, tries to get that 7th inning out of his young pitchers. Only Framber and JV should be afforded that. After it's backfired so many times, he still hasn't learned his lesson? Jesus. And then you don't bring in Abreu to pinch hit. Of course you don't.
Going into the series most would be fine with 2 out of 3. What hurts is the split in NY. Gotta keep going and take care of business against the Angels.
