    He goes by Lil Tay now? Sure, why not. Seems weird to adopt that when you get older.

    Anyway, RIP to him. I think he was a decent guy. Gave the world some joy in simpler times.

    This. My teenagers tell me sometimes about how some influencer dissed some other influencer and I wonder where I went wrong as a parent that they give any ***** whatsoever about it.

    You didn't, completely, society did.

    Personality (how you look, your popularity) means more than character (how you act, your morality) now. And we've quantified popularity with followers and likes. Of course our kids gravitate to this ****. It's what society has taught them.

    My kids kept going on and on about some influencer named Mr Beast and how he is a millionaire who gives away millions of dollars. I went weeks thinking it was just some nobody kid on YouTube. Then I googled him....

    Hey, that's one I have actually heard of. Couldn't tell you much. I'm 35 and the rate of change of culture with Tik Tok and Twitch makes me feel 60. It's just hard for me to care about following people that much. It seems creepy at best and dangerous at worst.
