Absolutely we tarted that Yanier Diaz doesn't play every day. Maldonado is the worst catcher in the majors.

 

Because Dusty loves the tears of us.

 

Dusty on Yanier’s HR: I was pretty sure that was a pop fly out, the wind picked it up the last 20 ft or so. He got real lucky. My man Maldy would’ve hit it just as far.

 

Sitting Diaz so much is a travesty. Pretty much letting a All-Star level catcher waste on the bench.

 

Still could if he start half of the remaining games. LOL

 

Hunter bounced back really well after the home run.

 

Diaz calls better games than Maldy. Games are way way smoother with him behind the mound. Both the numbers and eye test back this up.

Maldy is a big time leader on the Astros and that is why he is starting.

He doesn't deserve to start. Quite a predicament but Dusty is clearly putting culture over talent.

 

Diaz needs to hit 3 HRs in this game so the national media can make a story about this “unknown backup catcher” and put pressure on Dusty to play him more. It’s just getting silly at this point

 

Yainer Diaz has a higher OPS than Adley Rutschmann. Yet somehow can't crack Dusty's starting catcher job for the Astros.
