Orioles announcers said they haven’t been swept 75 series. That changes tomorrow! I may have misheard that, though. Haha <edit> that number is correct. Crazy. An Orioles sweep at home will look really nice next to the Braves one.
Huge series win and one big game to take back from the Rangers. The remaining strength of schedule has gone back and forth, but Houston has mostly kept pace with the Rangers during a much tougher stretch of baseball. And according to Tankathon, Houston now has the 24th toughest schedule remaining compared to the 10th toughest remaining schedule for Texas. A lot of baseball left to be played, but I like our chances.
Astros have 3 more against the Rangers this season. So as long as they keep it within 3 until then they control their own destiny.
I know it’s probably not ideal, but Abreu looks like he could use a 10 day rest on the IL. His arm just looks tired, he’s been used too much, and he isn’t crisp at all these days.
Dusty does whatever Dusty wants to do… he is always a lightening rod for hate and criticism - but sometimes his bizarre hunches pay off…. Sometimes they don’t. Last year in the playoffs his decision were amazingly right - from fighting to get Yuli on the playoff roster when Click said no - to how he handled Verlander in the playoffs and his handling of the pitching staff.
Their relentless lineup is so patient at the plate but like stated before their pitching will always give you a chance. A sweep would be nice but if Dusty wants to give Tucker and Alejandro a day tomorrow I'm cool with it. Not really but it's been a while since they had off?
maybe lets wait for the Miami series before we consider giving Tucker or Alvarez a day off. We are in the thick of it and don’t want to concede anything to the O’s or Angels.
I think he was talking about Bregman but regardless I agree. Maldy needs a day off tomorrow for sure though. Jose Abreu can take one as well.
He was going to pitch LMJ in Game 7, after leaving him out there to get shelled. Game 3 should have been Javier to begin with. He was perfect through the first two series. The WS, not so much.
AWESOME, AWESOME game to go to. From the Tucker Homerun to the end, it was exciting.... and by the end you'd think we were in Minute Maid Park with all of the Space City and Astros jerseys around. My wife left for a half of an inning and the Orioles scored 2 runs. I told her it was her fault for leaving and she didn't leave her seat again. Baltimore still had only 2 runs. You're welcome!
