    So the FBI decided to raid and kill an unarmed armed man simply because they did not agree with some of his/their social media posts?

    Cops don't get to kill you for making credible threats of assassinating the president. Their job is to safely take the person into custody so he can be charged and tried. Right now it looks like police brutality until they explain themselves.

    We can only speculate, but I'm sure the man with a small arsenal and murder fantasies was completely reasonable when law enforcement showed up to arrest him. His posts indicate that "just comply" is how he would respond to a confrontation.

    Can't say it's police brutality yet. There's just no details at all. That Facebook post on July 27 is almost premeditating a lethal confrontation with law enforcement. The guy seems off his rocker. I'm leaning towards he escalated the confrontation until more details are out.

    The guy who posted about having a loaded gun ready for the FBI..... probably had a loaded gun when the FBI showed up.

    Sounds like this wasn't the first time the FBI talked to him either....

    Occam's razor says you're right, but I'm not giving cops the benefit of the doubt when they kill somebody. Cops always say their violence is justified. I'd like to see proof.

    Fair enough. Law enforcement has lied too often about lethal encounters. There were likely some body cams worn so maybe we'll see that.

    Important question that our society is completely unable to properly ask or process.

    It's such a central issue and it's almost hilarious how ill-equipped we have been to handle it:

    What happens when old-school news transitions to exploit-o-tainment? Well, bad things... but we keep treating it like it's just "news," and "it's all just media," b/c we don't know what else to do. We're like the Eloi in the Time Machine running to our slaughter.
