It really is that simple. I don't care if Javier says he wants Maldy or whatever...at some point as Manager he has to impose his will and give the orders. "No Cristian, get used to throwing to Diaz, he is here to stay."
Seriously…. Why is Maldy starting over Diaz? I so wish our manager would say something like “Hey Kristen, your 4+ ERA means I gotta play my hitters when you pitch. Diaz is catching!”

I feel like an idiot defending Dusty and his lineup shenanigans earlier this year. In my defense, that was April, May and June. But we’re in August and 3 games behind divisional leader and only 3.5 ahead of last WC spot, he should be putting out the best available lineup to give the pitcher/team a chance to win. I’ll say it again, any pitchers that want Maldy as a personal catcher doesn’t have winning as a priority. They only care for their own stats. Idiots!!!
Somebody needs to tell them he's not helping their stats either. Diaz's ERA and defense is better too. Maldy doesn't help anyone except Dusty and his ego. It's a complete sh1tshow he's on pace for 125 games. Houston is getting robbed.
