Alarming surge’ in anti-Asian violence across US terrifies community members

I'm against ALL violence, regardless of race. I have never once defended violent people. I've just noticed your trend of choosing a black man to post about 8 of 10 times when it comes to killers , thugs, and criminals.

Unfortunately a lot of the crimes targeting Asians have been commit by black men. There are several reasons for this including that many of these crimes were committed by homeless including mentally ill homeless who are disproportionately black. Also there has been longstanding tensions between black and Asian communities. This is why Koreatown was heavily targeted during the Rodney King riots.

There are debates going on within Asian groups working to improve safety for Asians regarding how much to emphasize this with some groups being accused of stoking racial divisions by making Asians more fearful of black people. Note this has already been a problem with many racist attitudes among Asians particularly newer immigrants.

Like with discussions of things like black on black crime I don't think we can ignore the facts that these happen but it's far more complicated than just its a moral or racial failing among black people and that black people just hate Asians.

there were some NYU graduate and his mother at a sushi place in Houston who told me they recently moved to Houston from Cali (kid went to nyu for college). They said they were so surprised about the racial harmony in Houston. This was definitely not the case in California and New York City

this is directly because of southern culture and policy, not because some one watched Rush Hour movies
