Poster 3612 complains and insults @tinman about being childish, trolling and spreading Russian propaganda. He proceeds to get on his high horse and bragging he has blocked @tinman all while tagging @tinman in the same post. He also states other posters encourages @tinman to troll. Personally I believe @tinman can post however he feels. @tinman doesn't bother me and @tinman is free to tag or carry one however he feels. It isn't my right to censor @tinman or shame other posters for enjoying @tinman posting style.

@tinman has the right to post anything he wants.

It is also the right of @Deckard to say he disagrees with @tinman and doesn't like what he posts.

This is pretty much the Marketplace of Ideas.

Some people are expecting epic black and white TV debates between Buckley v. Vidal, but this is it.

What a time to be alive!

If the US pulls out the Ukrainians will be much
Hard to say with the Russians. They have agreed a couple of times to go to the peace table if Ukraine will be neutral and not in NATO.

If the US pulls out the Ukrainians will be much more likely (essentially forced) to go to the peace table. We already have NATO stating that there is no way for a country to join if it is at war. So as long as war continues they ensure Ukraine will not be welcome in NATO.

And Russia doesn't know this? You think Russia will actually stop attacking Ukraine in some fashion and allow them to join NATO?

Sure if they are thinking they will win (get back substantial territory in some sort of reasonable time say the next year or so. For the most part only the folks and currently the virtually unanimous mainstream media believe Ukraine is winning militarily in this war of attrition against Russia which is several times bigger.

No, that is part of the logic that Ukraine's deal will be better the sooner they do it again unless against most neutral evidence you believe Ukraine will win this militarily. I do think that Russia has learned how hard it will be to actually occupy Western Ukraine which has relatively few folks who don't speak Russian and hate Russia.

They've also said that they won't give up the territory they've taken in Ukraine or Crimea. That doesn't sound like a good deal for Ukraine.

Also remember Russia was the one who invaded Ukraine. Why would the Ukrainians, or anyone else trust that Russia.
In February of 2022 it was widely believed including by the Ukrainians themselves that Russia would take Kyiv quickly and overrun much of the country. The Ukrainians then were preparing for an assymetric war. If the US doesn't support them it's likely they do that too.

You seem very trusting that the Ukrainians are only fighitng because the US supports them and that Russia is willing to make peace. Have you considered that the Ukrainians will fight because they don't like being invaded or that the Russians aren't really interested in peace?

Ukraine made a deal in 2014 to trade land for security. Russia tore that up as soon as they'd rearmed. Ukrainians KNOW that the Russians won't abide by any peace deal, because they've proven it in the past. Ukrainians won't trade tangible things like parts of actual Ukraine itself, for vaporware like Russian assurances of peace that are like Hitler's assurances to Chamberlain on the Sudetenland.

Minsk Agreement was worth as much and lasted about as long as the Munich Agreement.
