What is the color of the sky in your world. Because in this world, trump didn't concede by January 6. Heck, I don't think trump has conceded the election at this point in time.

Interesting insight on how you went from Trump hater to cult member in just a few years. Fascinating.

That mean old media creating cult members out of haters.

Wrong. Not ONE OTHER PRESIDENT tried to subvert and overthrow our democracy! Not one!

Not ONE OTHER PRESIDENT has ever been charged with even ONE felony. How many does Trump have?

Trump has completely given up on any idea of winning based on court and legal arguments inside a court of law.

Anything he says now is based on an assumption that he will be convicted no matter what therefore his only goal now is to convince the public to the point where he can just pardon himself by being president.

Hence why any court order is going to be completely ineffective unless the order is enforced through detention and a complete cut off from access to social media. But that will not happen. Trump has essentially broken the court system by showing how unenforceable court orders are if you have enough clout and power.

Like I said, he wanted protests. He was asking for support. There is no way you really believe his plan was to overthrow the American government. With what? A few thousands of people if that?

What if he wins? What if the verdict is not guilty. What will you say then?

Look dude I'm not even arguing the merits of the case. I'm telling you with how he is acting he is acting if it's a forgone conclusion that he will be convicted. You don't insult judges preciding over your case and call them enemies of the state to win a trial.

If he wins or not is irrelevant to my point which is the way Trump is acting himself signals he believes it is not worthwhile to convince a jury and a judge that he is innocent. You are missing the oont om making. Ask trump why he thinks he can't win. Because that's what he's signaling, not me.

I mean, how many times has he been indicted? Does he have any reason to believe they aren't going after him. They want him out of the ballot for 2024, don't sit there and say that wouldn't make your day or perhaps year. I don't think winning in court is out of the realm of possibility, will you accept the results if he does win?

You really are priming your narratives for either outcomes huh?

You want us to buy in to a conspiracy to get Trump to prison and in Trump's own words the judge preceding is also in on the conspiracy and also want to us to buy in to a possibility he wins the case. If even the judge is in on the conspiracy, the dude is getting convicted dude. So why even provide the option that he might win?

And still missing my point. Trump is acting as if he has no shot at winning. His arguments he's making publicly do not exist to convince the judge and jurors of his innocence. That's telling me his defense at this point is becoming president and pardoning himself.

Trump been hiding behind executive privileges when he was president. Now that he's no longer president the charges for his dirty deed are being aired. It's not a coincidence.

Republicans likes spinning that the government is now being weaponized to take him down now that he's running for president but conviently ignore his usage of executive privileges as a shield from all crimes/charges.

Again, that tweet didn't come out until hours into the riot at the Capitol. His desire, his plan was to delay certification of the election by any and all means possible. He ordered pence to delay (we know that because pence as said so and refused to comply). He hoped the riot at the Capitol would cause a delay. He went as far as to have fake electors in place to vote for him (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_fake_electors_plot).

I became a MAGA devotee who doesn't believe in American democracy anymore because the big, awful media was so mean to the former host of The Apprentice.

You're not asking me, but if the court cases move forward and he is cleared of all charges, I will accept those verdicts. That's only fair. I will be glad the system brought charges where prosecutors and grand juries felt it was appropriate, b/c his behavior is pretty extreme, but if he has his days in court and is innocent, then so be it. And if he's elected again, I will accept that -- with great fear, sure -- but accept it just like I did in 2016.

I think the main central place where I differ from you is that I hold his behavior as the prime mover in all his legal situations and with all the criticism he receives.

It seems to me that you, like Trump, see him as some sort of hapless victim where all these people are mean to him, absent of his behavior. Or, like, because he has weird hair or a Queens accent, or b/c of his TV show or his Trump steaks, people are just out to get him. I don't see it that way. People are reacting to his behavior -- what he says and does. And then a lot of Trump-positive folks just focus on the reactions without ever acknowledging what started it all. It's like "why did the ref give me a flagrant!?" says Draymond Green and Warrior fans. Well, Dray, you know, Dray, you did just kick another player in the crotch.

To me, where there's smoke, there's fire. And DJT's spent a lifetime playing fast and loose with rules but now on the highest stage and with some very serious rules. And when so many former cabinet members, close associates, and fellow party members who worked closely with you speak out against a guy, that says something very loud. They are not part of a mean conspiracy or "out to get him." They are somewhere between disappointed and disturbed, each one of them, including Pence, Barr, and on and on.

But thanks, @Salvy , for all your recent respectful posts, even as a bunch of us come at you and criticize your points. It's nice, for me at least, to see how you see things. Cheers.

It's the same playbook as the election, state before it starts that you are going to lose and blame everyone else, then when you do lose you can "see, what did I tell ya"............he is taking to an extreme at this point because he knows he is guilty.

    This.

He knows that the moment he is weakened, the Republican Party will sell him out - he is ruling by fear at this point. He also knows that any Court, short of the SCOTUS will likely find him guilty. He isn't going to count on a future Pardon when he is almost 80 years old...... he is going to appeal to the SCOTUS and the people of the USA. He believes he can create enough chaos to keep himself out of prison - and if he manages to win the Election, people better hang on because he has made it very clear that he will punish all of those that were against him.
