I mean seriously… how can anybody at the umpires office look at that game and say “he’s ok…”? Blown calls indirectly lead to longer innings, longer games, more WTF interactions between hitters, catchers, pitchers, etc. etc. etc. Have some respect for your own profession… and demand better from those who work for you.

That missed strike 3 in the 8th directly led to a run being scored and induced a pitching change mid-inning. That was a pretty sizable change. If the umpire scorecard is consistent, that’s going to lead to an overwhelming favor of runs for the Yankees since they’ll count that run fully plus whatever potential runs could have happened.
