I was wondering about that as it seems like there were several cases were state of mind was brought up as a defense where the defendant didn’t take stand. The Derek Chauvin trial.

 

How do you prove the integrity of not through court challenges and lawsuits?

You’re basically arguing the idea that people just believe something and no amount of evidence will convince them.

We are the greatest country on this earth and we can't even ensure a fair election? Yea just whining and btchin from sore losers. U can bet your a$$ if Trump won the same folks btching about election integrity wouldn't care as long as they won.

Countless of investigation, countless of lawsuits from the losing party and yet lo and behold nothing to show for it yet still crying about losing a fair election.

What @Salvy has posted today sounds remarkably like this gem from page 6 of this thread.

We know what was predicted in the past above didn’t happen. We know that hundreds of those people who stormed the Capitol then have been arrested and sentenced with many expressing regrets over their actions. We know that rather than more evidence coming out of claims of election fraud that Trumps own lawyers have admitted their claims were misleading. We know that those running on claimed that the 2020 election was fraudulent roundly lost and what was predicted to be a red wave turned into a red trickle.

I get the feeling predictions made about the electoral success of trump and others today are likely going to end up the same as that post two and half years ago.

 

You think its a joke but you should go read some of the early propaganda coming out the Nazis in the early 30s. They use the same tactics as MAGA do nowadays. Its crazy cuz i would never have thought the same tactics would work in the modern era of the internet but.......they do.

Read the letters that Hitler wrote while in prison about the injustices and economic hardships his people were dealing with cuz of others.

 

I’ve read a lot about the rise of Fascism especially recently since I saw Oppenheimer. There are some disturbing similarities but I don’t think they are the same.

Most important is that our system is holding. Trump lost in 2020. He lost nearly every court challenge. Many MAGA candidates lost in 2022. In swing states people like Kari Lake lost.

Trump and his supporters can believe what they want. They do have the freedom to claim the election was stolen. Like the indictment states its actions and not speech. Storming the Capitol, Assaulting LEO, vandalizing and looting a Congress are crimes. Trying to install false electors is a crime.

 

Well, it's all based on their leader's behavior. Period and full stop. If he hadn't:
1. Prepped his followers before the election to expect fraud (based really on nothing), and
2. Claimed fraud after he lost (based again on nothing legitimate as countless recounts and court cases have shown), and
3. Continued to this day that he actually won.

If he had just done what any other red-blooded American would have done in accepting an obvious loss after all the recounts and appeals and (largely frivolous, we know now) court cases, we wouldn't have millions of Americans and a few posters on here still thinking something was sketchy in the election. None of that happens, at all, if Trump showed an ounce of grace at any point in the months after the election. But as a human being, he literally has not one microliter of grace. Nada.

Amazing the carnage (thank you, Barr), and chaos he leaves and will continue to leave in his wake.

 

Doubt she can or will put him in jail, but hopefully the judge rips him a new one, embarrassing him and his counsel in the process.

I haven't read his pretrial release conditions. I doubt the message you posted is violative of any conditions if they are similar to what we usually see, but there may be something specific about mentioning people or their comments on him. I wouldn't characterize what you posted as harassment. The other one, about coming after the people that come after him seems more like witness intimidation.

Lucky for us, the judge, who issued Trump’s release conditions, is going to sort this out Monday!!!

 

The people who told Trump he lost are his inner circle, including Republican judges, governors, and legislators. Some of these people still support him today. Why would these people BS and lie to Trump and you?

Trump is indicted through the testimony of ALL Republicans, again, some of whom are his inner circle. Why would these people lie to the grand jury, judges, and prosecutors?

 

Good. The judge should not allow a favorite Trump tactic - delay.

No one should be surprised that Trump can't follow rules, but this appears to be yet another delay tactic. The government is trying to work out a sensible protective order so that they can provide Trump with discovery as soon as possible, but his team has not accepted it, even after a revised revision.

The prosecutor is right to request the judge to issue the protective order. However, in line with delay tactics, Trump team want more time to respond to a simple 4-page request and a protective order that has been in the works since the indictment. Hopefully, the Judge will issue a protective order with some substance to hinder Trump from violating it, but I'm pretty sure he will still find a way to violate it somehow, although maybe it won't be as grievous with a strong protective order in place.

 

Solitary confinement it is then. We can build him his own private cell.

 

"His inner" circle? Republicans? Like Mitch and Pence? Conservatives don't trust rinos... DeSantis is a joke, a lot of republicans want Trump out for their own political aspirations. Sadly they don't realize that sleeping with Democrats will not end well for them. The left has gained control of social media, mainstream media, Hollywood, the biggest tech companies in the world. They control most of what we see and consume on a daily. If Trump does not win in 2024 we will never see another Republican president even if people are voting republican. Like I said earlier, what was done is done. There is an overwhelming amount of discrepancies from the 2020 election. Maricopa county alone is notorious for weird and unusual thing happening on election night both in 2020 and with Kari Lake. Maybe its nothing, maybe they were bloops... Maybe conservatives want something to hold onto because Trump lost but in the end no one will accept a president until we have a proper election with results that same night and no bs. Military, elderly and ill people vote by mail and if you aren't those you go and you vote in person. Results come in live, no boarding up windows or plumbling issues. No midnight ballot drops in thousands for one candidate. No waiting for days in some counties because the machines are broken or slow. No kicking media personal and observers out of the ballot counting. Do it right in 2024, you won't hear a single excuse or but from me if Biden wins. Restore election integrity and this country can unite again. Something tells me thou that if Trump wins the left will not accept it, just like they didn't in 2016 until 2020. It wasn't a problem back then thou because double standards.

 

I’ve repeatedly said that the comparison to Nazi Germany is misguided. However, the overall rise of fascism in Europe in the 30s, particularly Spain and France and the near collapse of the French Republican BEFORE the war is very compelling as a case study.

Biden is essentially a popular front style president.

 

It's not misguided at all. They use the exact same propoganda techniques about attacking the establishment and voter fraud claims.
