I always get a laugh out of somehow the military stuff is somehow compatible with the market often with at most two suppliers and one buyer who frequently buys on a cost plus basis. lol

Biden and Secretary of Defense Austin have already proclaimed Russia has lost since they did not take over Kiev. If they just stick with that refrain which I suspect will get stronger they can proclaim US and perhaps even Ukraian victory and encourage Ukraine to negotiate a settlement. Too bad the settlement will most likely not be better than what was almost agreed to at Minsk II and about a month into the war. The longer the war goes on the more Ukrainian lives and territory will be lost.

Ukraine removes the Hammer and Sickle from a massive statue left by the Soviet regime and replaces it with the 3 pronged emblem of Ukraine.

@glynch, there are times when you display breathtaking ignorance. Your post on this page is one of those times, in my opinion.

If only there was a way to avoid this - perhaps if Russia turned around and stopped their INVASION of Ukraine.

Ukraine will absolutely in the long term end up in a better place having resisted being invaded, exterminated, and turned into a Russian vassal.

Honestly how much acid would one have to drop in the 60's to be so brain damaged as to see Putin's Russia as the anti imperialist one here?

When you're on the same page as Putin, Elon, RFK Jr, and Trump you need to question not just where you are but how you got there.

    Nook, Fischer.

In. the long term? 10 yrs 50 yrs?

https://archive.li/oCU05 Tens of thousands of amputees.

Probably 100 thousand or. more Ukrainian dead. Millions of Ukrainian women have left, many of whom will probably not return. The economy wrecked.

Pretty easy to be to support the war and never surrender one inch of Ukrainian soil from the US.

And if the Ukrainians aren’t interested in making peace how is the US supposed to make them go to the peace table? If the Us were to pull support from Ukraine do you think the Russians are going to be more inclined to make peace or more inclined to press their invasion?

the significance of this attack extends beyond the damage to this particular vessel. look at where Novorossiysk is on the map. it's not in Crimea, which demonstrates significant new range and capabilities for AFU naval drones.

How do you explain the Ukrainians' determination to resist Russia? Is it pretty easy for them to support the war while being bombed and mutilated?
