Knew absolutely nothing about this movie going into it, and my Wife and I were completely blown away. Harrowing experience for sure, but people should put themselves through this one for awareness of what is going on (and has been) right beneath our noses. I know Caviezel turns alot of people off, but it's hard to criticize this movie considering the message. It's made by a religious studio, but did not have any preachy elements to it. As a movie, it was very well done and produced. Rotten Tomatoes is actually scoring pretty high. Please go see this movie!

Some parts can be tough but it was a great movie and story. Personal views aside, it's flat-out entertaining and worth paying for imo. If you have a similar perspective or beliefs it can be very moving also.
I'm all for raising awareness about human trafficking, but begging people to buy tickets so the studio can finance more projects... Hard pass. I'll watch it when it's free to me on Prime or Netflix.

…. Not surprising that the folks that are spearheading these movements are just projecting /hiding their true beliefs.
I wouldn't have minded if they took a moment after the movie or trailer to encourage people to write their lawmakers or donate to a cause--that would be noble--but just telling people to buy tickets is amateurish and off-putting. Save that **** for interviews, or a website dedicated to spreading the word about the film, and social media. And spare me the conspiracies while you're at it.
Perhaps…. But takes an extra evil person to kidnap children under the cover of protecting children. Not to mention this particular movement is using religious and piety it to demonize other groups they don’t like…. Or try and take rights away.
Plenty of evil things done by evil people portraying themselves as the good guys on both sides of the political spectrum. Humanity is flawed and those corrupt will find their choice of evil everywhere by exploiting the beliefs of those on their side to their advantage. Evil dude for sure. But they are found everywhere.
True, but the same thing can be said about outlier groups of both sides of the political spectrum. At least they are trying to stop child trafficking even if their own ideas are being interjected. I can tell you lean one way and think the other side is evil. I believe both sides have good to offer and people who will abuse it. It's mostly shades of grey out there, with a few white and black spots, but mostly grey.
Well, the star (Jim Cavaziel) is full QAnon. QAnon Anonymous episode 143 has stories about his weirdness while on Person of Interest.
I saw an interview with him related to the movie, and it was enough to totally turn me off to ever seeing the film. Dude is full on Jacob Chansley-level crazy.
