I don't take as much issue with his answers (he's skeptical that we know everything, that's fine) as I do with the fact he went on a program that asked such insanely stupid questions to begin with.
Vivek Ramaswamy on 9/11: 'I don't believe the government has told us the truth' https://www.foxnews.com/politics/vivek-ramaswamy-9-11-dont-believe-government-told-truth
saying "I don't believe we've been told the truth" is not the same as "it was an inside job." for instance, do you feel you have been told the truth about Saudi involvement?
that is a terrible terrible thing. Maybe you can have a conversation with @Commodore about this important issue.
I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the Feds had information about the involvement of the Saudi government that they didn't share with the public. But I wouldn't take to twitter and say we don't know the full truth about 9/11 over that. I'd only bring it up on twitter if (a) I thought 9/11 was an inside job or (b) I wanted to do a little dog whistle to get Truthers' votes. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the latter.
My "sources" that you have a problem with?: https://www.politico.com/news/2023/...t-believe-the-9-11-commission-report-00109499 https://www.foxnews.com/politics/vivek-ramaswamy-9-11-dont-believe-government-told-truth https://www.wsj.com/articles/vivek-ramaswamy-911-gop-presidential-primary-f410faca https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/why-vivek-ramaswamy-says-these-things/ That last sketchy site had some interesting points: Earlier in the article, referring to a previous crackpot quote... Oh, and this guy:
That’s point of all these conspiracy theorists… it’s just vague and open to interpretation. * insert Windhurst meme….
People who throw logic and science out the window to appear the far right are just another Trump wannabe. Vivek won't be successful because he still looks to Indian and he never became a Christian. The right will always support one of their kind of people over the foreign looking dude. Plus he comes across as too intellectual which is going to turn off a lot of the red meat talk to me like a local if you want to fleece me mentality.
He’s kissing Trump’s ass the most. But idk if the very important Christian Right base will support a Hindu. I’m sure Trump will ask all the crooked religious leaders if Vivek is fine.
Exactly…. Just be the ultimate ass kiss and lapdog for Trump. Someone willingly to be subservient just to gain power would be a red flag for me. But to each their own…. Hating the right people seems to override such concerns.
The biggest take away`s from Vivek (at least to me) is he seems very intelligent, and he really pushes for the government to be honest and forthright which I commend, the downside is trump is the polar opposite. If I had to look in my crystal ball, if trump were to win there would be quite the few shady deals behind closed doors..............would Vivek kiss the ring and do as he was told or would he stand up and say No. I don't know the man from Adam but he at least "appears" to be a stand-up guy even though I think his conspiracy theories are whacky doodle. He is the opposite of someone like Keri Lake, who just oozes deceit and would be in alignment with any tomfoolery that would go on behind closed doors. just my .02 cents
If Trump wins I can see Ramaswamy getting a Cabinet position or some other high ranking position. I don't think he will be Trump's VP for a variety of reasons. Trump picked Pence to shore up his support among Evangelicals. Given that Pence has turned on Trump it won't be him and it's likely convinced Trump that just making a compromise pick isn't the way to go. Given Trump's instincts he will want someone who will kiss his ass and also willing to sacrifice their own ambition to him. While Ramaswamy appears to be kissing Trump's ass I think he's ambitious enough to not be willing to just subsume himself to Trump. Also Trump values image and you can see how he picks people based just on image. Unfortunately Vivek Ramaswamy's name, looks and religion just doesn't fit a classic image of a successful politician particularly in the REpublican Party. I think Trump would pick Kari Lake who meets the above requirements. She very much tied herself to Trump and isn't likely to challenge, question or put her own ambition above his. She's also telegenic and knows how to present herself even if what she is saying many don't agree with.
