It's so fascinating how grown ass adults in America are so stupid about how the appropriations process works in America. It's even funnier when Germans who aren't citizens spread braindead conspiracies @AroundTheWorld REPUBLICANS controlled the congress at the time and come up with the budget. Rob portman literally wrote a letter to the admin and the ambassador that they would refuse to fund the prosecutor if he wasn't fired. No ****ing **** Biden would brag AFTER the letter got fired. How can you people be so utterly slow. Biden nor Obama controls the budget and what money goes where. That was for the republican congress. Breaking news prosecutor gets fired after republican who control the purse demand his firing. You people are so slow and dumb @AroundTheWorld
Lol… Fox News…. The same media company that settled for their coordinated election lies…. Freedom Caucus coordinated election lies… Freedom Caucus coordinating Hunter lies….
You really are this stupid. No matter how many braindead dumbass conspiracies you wanna spin the prosecutor was never fired until after the Republicans demanded it and the Europeans. The Europeans wanted him fired a year before the Americans ever did. So fascinating how the dumbest idiots from Europe are in America now spreading MAGA conspiracies @AroundTheWorld We don't need right wing trash here please
Let me guess somehow the Europeans were corrupt as well by wanting the prosecutor fired as well right? @AroundTheWorld Dumb and dumber https://www.ft.com/content/e1454ace-e61b-11e9-9743-db5a370481bc
Your god Biden literally took credit for it, the video is right there. Are you saying he is a liar who was trying to take credit for something that was not his achievement? He sure made it sound like he got it done.
I just don't get how their so stupid? They keep spewing same poont that biden somehow strong armed the prosecutor into being fired but Republicans controlled the purse as they were in power in congress and they demanded the prosecutor be fired. I just don't get how their so stupid and illiterate they don't understand this simple point? How do these folks have real jobs when their dumb as ****? @AroundTheWorld
Doing yourself or your mission no favors, at all. Nobody ever said, "Oh, I got called stupid by a stranger. I better change my ways." Nor did someone say: "I'm on the fence on issue A, but now that I see this one guy calling other people stupid and dumb, over and over, I'm suddenly convinced to join his side of issue A!" STAHP. Or don't stahp, but get more people putting you on ignore, including people like me who agree with many of your actual political points, absent ad hominem, counterproductive language.
like stealing the election from Trump? <jk> sorry, couldn't help myself. back to your debate, citizens
Diddlers like @AroundTheWorld are just fully committed to the groomer cause….. Anti Wokism… Trumpism… are all connected together so they have no choice but to defend Trump.
Again he did something that congress demanded him to do. Congress controls the budget and all appropriations. White House doesn't spend a dollar without congress. Republicans control both chambers at the time and the senate relations demanded that the prosecutor be fired. The Europeans demanded this as well months before https://www.ft.com/content/e1454ace-e61b-11e9-9743-db5a370481bc If you were to have some video of biden bragging about the prosecutor being gone before the gop letter or EU letter then I agree 100000% its corruption but it happened after. People here have their brains destroyed
Case in point…. Are you joking or just trolling? Based on your posting history of so many WSJ opinion pieces defending Trump or deflecting blame away from Trump….. Confident saying you are just trolling…
Haven't managed to keep up with this thread (because I don't care about Hunter Biden). But I've been hung up on this part of the theory: it asks me to completely reverse my understanding of Shokin's firing. That he investigated too much instead of too little. It works with a Biden corruption theory, but doesn't explain why the EU wanted him fired, or why Obama would greenlight it. Occam's razor then dictates the corruption story isn't true and it happened like Biden said.
Europeans wanted him gone long before that. The Germans didn't trust him from the very beginning and Merkel didn't trust the ukrianians at all. If you read the full republican senate report on the prosecutor the entire senate wanted him fired The idea that biden somehow got him fired is like claiming the sky is purple. It's so low iq braindead talking point that it's fascinating grown adults are are hung onto it. We've become so utterly dumb as a nation
Merkel trusted Putin. We all know how that worked out. She was a disaster for Germany and the world. Her actions would make a lot more sense if she had actually worked for Putin.
Nobody commends me on my self-restraint lol. This dude called me a Nazi (if I was alive in 1930) and all kinds of names. Unfortunately, an example of what @bigtexxx recently correctly pointed out in a thread - a very hateful leftist.
May I suggest that you re-read @B-Bob ;s sage advice from a few days ago. If not I'm starting a campaign to change your moniker to NAPALM. Of course there can be multiple factors weighing in, but the video of Biden bragging on his role in the dismissal has been around for years, yet you discount its importance. So the Europeans relentlessly pounding for a dismissal couldn't get it done in a year but it only took a Billion of our dollars; is that right?
Again what the hell is the importance of the video when biden was doing exactly what congress asked him to do? You're not answering the question. You keep spinning the same talking point What is so difficult for you to understand here. CONGRESS controls spending and REPUBLICANS were in charge of both chambers at the time. Republicans wrote to Obama that they demanded the prosecutor be gone and they would not fund it in the upcoming budget. Seriously WTF is the importance of the video when biden was doing exactly what congress demanded him to do? How are you and @AroundTheWorld so slow that you don't get the simple fact Facts hurt. I get it.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/devon-...-joe-biden-ukraine-a21915bc?mod=hp_opin_pos_1 Devon Archer’s Full Biden Story VP Biden mixed the family business with his Ukraine diplomacy. By The Editorial Board Updated Aug. 4, 2023 at 9:26 am ET As soon as Devon Archer’s closed-door sitdown with the House Oversight Committee ended Monday, New York’s Daniel Goldman emerged to give the Democratic spin: President Biden’s conversations with his son’s business partners were innocent discussions about the weather or other niceties. That was exposed as false on Thursday when the committee made the complete transcript public. Mr. Archer is a former business partner of Hunter Biden and served with him on the board of Ukrainian energy giant Burisma. Mr. Archer described the value-added that Hunter brought to the business as the “brand,” which was the Biden name. When Hunter put his father on speakerphone with his business clients, “there was [a] brand being delivered.” He further clarified that it was Joe Biden “that brought the most value to the brand.” In other words, Hunter was selling his father’s power in Washington. That is what Burisma was paying for, and it looks like it got its money’s worth. “Burisma would have gone out of business if it didn’t have the brand attached to it,” Mr. Archer said. Joe Biden famously bragged of his role in using $1 billion in U.S. aid to get Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired during his December 2015 visit to Kyiv. Mr. Archer says Mr. Shokin, who was investigating Burisma, was not “specifically on my radar,” and that he was spun a tale how of Mr. Shokin was actually “good for Burisma.” But he also said he wasn’t on the phone with Hunter, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma exec Vadym Pozharskiwhen they “called D.C.” after a meeting in Dubai to discuss how Washington might alleviate the pressure on them. All of this underscores Joe Biden’s horrendous judgment in blending his son’s business with his duties as Vice President. Mr. Biden was the Obama Administration’s point man for Ukraine, which was fighting Russia’s first invasion, and he can’t claim ignorance about his son’s dealings. Amos Hochstein, a senior energy official in the Obama Administration, warned the Vice President in 2015 that Russia-backed media were using Hunter’s presence on the Burisma board to “undermine” the U.S. anti-corruption message. The following year a top diplomat in Kyiv, George Kent, was even more blunt in a message to State. “Ukrainians,” Mr. Kent said, “heard one message from us and then saw another set of behavior, with the family association with a known corrupt figure whose company was known for not playing by the rules in the oil/gas sector.” Mr. Archer also explained how Hunter received $142,300 from Kazakh oligarch Kenes Rakishev to buy an “expensive car”—either a Fisker or a Porsche. Mr. Rakishev attended a spring 2014 business dinner at Washington’s Cafe Milano with the Vice President and his son. Also in attendance was Elena Baturina, the wife of Moscow’s mayor, who wired $3.5 million to a company linked to Mr. Archer. The House Committee says it will provide more details when it releases its next tranche of related financial documents. When the public first learned of Hunter’s sleazy deals, Joe Biden denied ever discussing his son’s business with him. But Mr. Archer has also released a letter from Mr. Biden—on official vice presidential stationery—saying how “happy” he was that Mr. Archer was in business with his son. The letter was written right after a lunch he and Mr. Archer attended with visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao. *** It’s one thing to develop relationships in office that turn into business opportunities later, the way Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, did in the Middle East. It’s another to leverage the office while in office to promote the family business. As Mr. Archer said, the advantage of the Biden brand is that legally “people would be intimidated to mess with them.” Whether or not Joe Biden took a dime from these dealings, this is a form of political corruption. Covered up by the press in 2020, it will be an issue in 2024. Democrats should worry that as more facts emerge about the Biden mix of politics and business, it could help Mr. Trump neutralize his many legal vulnerabilities.
