Really liked this interview on how TB makes it easier for pitchers. Paraphrasing, but I loved the part about TB taking pitchers with nasty stuff and having them throw it down the middle of the plate as nasty as they can knowing that their lack of command would keep it from staying middle middle.

Not really a particularly novel idea but def on the more progressive end to just let people do what they do best.

It's amazing how terrible Pittsburgh's organizational pitching philosophy was/is and how many pitchers bumped up after leaving. The Ray Searage era set them back alot. Cole, Glasnow, CFM, etc....

Just think, they all had their shot at Santana for a box of crayons.

MLB should implement a years cap for any signing as the NBA does. 5 or 6 years max would add more teams in the mix for a FA and/or keep the player with their current team more likely. I mean, they already adopted a time-clock during the game so might as well go full bonk

I would think that Jabba Cannabis knows that that is not how things actually work. But maybe he don't?

We got a couple guys coming up for extensions that unfortunately will probably end up adding to that category.

    I have a question.

Is there one relevant team on the Central Division in either league?
Am I right that it seems Eastern and Western teams keep getting better and the Central divisions, worse?

I think Cinci is sneaky-good. They can't seem to beat Milwaukee, but they are on a solid run outside of that. Take out the Milwakee games and I think they have/recently had the 2nd best winning percentage in the NL.

I hate NYY as much as everyone else on this planet but sad to see whatever’s going on with Domingo German. Alcohol and substance abuse is a scary road, wouldn’t wish addiction on anyone.

I was so confused how that was a strikeout, before realizing that apparently that counts as catching a foul tip. Definitely never seen anything like that before.

He did beat his girlfriend, but alcohol played a role in that. So he definitely shouldn't be drinking.

Alcohol and drugs are no excuse. You hurt someone (whether behind the car or other) then you are just as responsible as if you shot someone thinking it was not loaded.

Huh? I didn’t say anything to the contrary? I was just saying addiction is one helluva battle and I’ve seen it lead to deaths of many loved ones. FWIW, I was a prosecutor for ~6 years and am keenly aware of the correlation between drugs, alcohol, and crimes, and often death. I’m not advocating that these are excuses, just that addiction is a tragic disease, and for many, it’s not just as simple as “well, why don’t ya stop”, and per my original post, that it is sad, and I wouldn’t wish the disease on anyone…
