What’s killing them here in MN and probably the same in MI is that while they are strong in rural areas they are losing badly in the urban and suburban areas. MN’s economy is heavily tilted to the Twin Cities when that area and some of the smaller cities are very blue there’s not enough people and money in the rest of the state to offset that.
