Prior to this season, they were tied with some team for the top with 14 (they don't count post season) since 1962. Not the Yankees who had one earlier this year. Not the Tigers who had the other one this year. Astros are now number 1 alone since their inception.
Why is tomorrow's game still showing undecided on the starter? Is Javier the guy or are they bringing in Urquidy? Edit: Urquidy had a rehab start on Sunday so no-go for him unless they are doing a bullpen day
Congratulations Framber! There are a few guys I believe have "no hit stuff" in their arsenal. Framber is one, Javier is two, and LMJ is the other (and now JV, of course). I dream of the day all 4 are in the rotation.
I really thought we were all gonna be witnesses to a Keuchel no hit game back in 2015. Probably one of the most fun pitchers to watch for me.
DK's ability to pound the bottom of the zone made him absolutely dominant for a good stretch. Still, I never thought he had "no hit explosiveness." He always looked like super alpha Knepper to me. Lol.
Sidenote: If B. Abreu were ever stretched out into a starter (as has been considered), he has that kind of explosiveness, as well. Just filthy, explosive stuff.
That was the beauty of him though. Bottom zone, corner to corner. Such artistry. No power or explosiveness but the only things getting pounded were balls straight into the dirt.
Going to be a fun battle between France and Brown for that #4 spot. Might have to throw Javier in that mix too if he doesn’t get back to 2022 form.
Getting tickets for the Astros game @ Baltimore for Aug 9th. Hoping JV makes that start. My playoff rotation would be: JV Framber France Brown Javier (spot starts when necessary)
Right now? It's going to be Javier and Brown battling for #4. I think Javier should go back to the pen for a bit to rest his arm, but last game he looked decent.
