    There was a time I thought that Brad Ausmus was about as bad as it got when it came to a catcher batting....but he was Mike Piazza compared to Maldonado.

    He is pretty close to useless on the playing field. Don't know what he truly means behind the scenes to the club but he's a negative player on the field.

    The biggest downside to the JV trade isn't giving up Gilbert and Clifford...it's more guaranteed Maldonaldo starts...for this season..and possibly next. That could be devestating.

    Lol for those who wonder how Maldy negatively impacts the lineup :

    A) inexplicably doesn’t bunt with no outs , myers on first
    B) strikes out
    C) myers feels need to steal to stay out of double play - but gets caught - result , two outs
    D) top of lineup gets hits but no one on base

    The organization needs to be smart. The players can and will eventually move on if Maldy is not brought back. He's a negative player.
