I do not think Dana was very involved in this trade. This was our owners work. Dana gets an assist at most. Verlander and Crane have been close for a long time now.
Believe me, I realize what we’re getting at this stage of JV’s career and I’m almost 100% sure the Stros do too. I don’t feel like we have the most formidable pitching staff in the league but when it comes to playoff ball and stringing out innings, I can definitely see our guys having a punchers chance against any other AL squad. Agreed, they should have hauled out Roberts years ago, amazing that he’s only a few years away from manning that team for almost a decade… with only the one ring to show for. TracywtFacy is on par with his post on how I see JV affecting this team as a whole down the road.
The value of our currency has been driven into the ground the past few years. What seems to be overpricing is more likely the shock of realizing how little our savings are worth now.
Completely agree. Would be great to be able to finish the year with a 6-man healthy rotation...especially if it helps those 6 go deeper and takes more pressure off of the pen. Then (hopefully) get Brantley back within the next month so he's fresh and ready to go for the playoffs. Yep...I don't give a crap what the rangers did...we are the favorite to come out of the AL.
Passan is such a prick. "he's being traded to the Houston Astros where he won a World Series" that little **** knows exactly what he's doing, I'd like to strangle that **** head. I'm not going to link it, I wish I could take back my click......
2024 8 deep starting rotation: Verlander Valdez Garcia* Javier Mcccullers Brown France Urquidy I don't think acquiring outfield talent or replenishing the farm will be too hard if we have to. Although I hope we lock Tuck up. Our golden window is not closing yet.
Wow didn’t realize ClutchFans was home to many front office execs. After reading through 17 pages of muck (arguably worth it for the occasional insightful/good post), some of you posters should really take 30 minutes until everything finalizes to post your magnum opuses.
To be fair, Clutchfans as a collective could have run the Texans better than the guys paid to do so over the last 8 or so years. And probably the Rockets too since 2018.
Your join date was 2012, so it's been 11 years. Surely, by now, the internet (and CF) isn't surprising to you anymore.
In 2018, I would've told Paul he has to play in Game #7 and for them to not shoot so many 3s. Instaring
