There were so many good tight ends in this draft, should have taken one

I know it’s usually been directed at certain people, but this latest version of cmoak discussing CJ is one I enjoy conversing with. Half expected you to explode with all the interceptions. Pleasantly surprised, just sayin.. Definitely going to be some issues with CJ and all rookie QBs, don’t like that they blamed one of the INTs on the tackles missing blocks because I am worried CJ panicked under pressure, but I can’t wait to see preseason start and see it all live.

After years of drafting TE’s all the time and having 6 JAGS at camp in the position, there was finally an actual good draft for them and we skipped it… but hey, Warring had a great body for football……..

My arguing is mainly towards specific posters.
I’m not going to hold training camp mistakes against a kid. Also think the defense is going to take a huge jump

That’s another thing for sure, the defense is looking really strong!

I’m glad they have joint practice against the Dolphins because those receivers have speed that our receivers just don’t and that practice will be invaluable for the defense. We also get to see just how competitive our receivers actually are. Still don’t think we have a legit number 1 receiver.

You can probably fill up an ocean with the amount of sweat that Pancakes is dripping out after being out in the August sun all day long.

Funny how this guy thought Nico Collins had his best day while the other writeup said WRs were sloppy all around, specifically calling out Nico for slipping on a route. I'm not expecting much out of this receiver corps, but it would be nice to see someone break 800+ yards.

The glowing Blake Cashman news..is he about to show the world he's on Dylan Cole's level?

Will Xavier Hutchinson have his Lestar Jean moment?

This is why I tune in to training camp news.

The offense was missing their TEs and OTs, so mistakes were bound to happen. Texans need more weapons

looks like CJ has been throwing the ball well and his WRs aren't helping him today

Seth Payne said it best. The receivers aren’t getting much separation and the offensive line is allowing too much pressure. It’s just difficult to fully evaluate QBs under these circumstances. Excited for preseason and joint practices to help sort this all out.

Is this a reflection of how good the defense may be or how middle of the road the offense may be.

I think we have the potential to have a good to great offensive line, but our backups on the offensive line are a significant drop off. So the problem is a lack of quality depth probably more so than the defensive line being awesome. Of course I hope the defensive line is awesome and I’ve heard encouraging things at least. We may be underestimating the difference that good coaching makes along with the infusion of talent from the draft and free agency.

"People inside the building have told me they are pleased with his progression"

"I still expect him to win that QB competition come week one"

It always feels so impossible to tell during training camp. But considering with our coaching staff changes I would expect the defense to have a bigger jump than our offense, I'm hoping what we are hearing about the defense looking good is real and not just the offense being that bad.

    But who knows.
