It will be interesting to see if there any blatant lineup omissions (not counting Diaz) or last minute changes.
I expect Diaz to catch today and DH w/ Yordan in LF tomorrow. I fully expect Diaz on the bench Wednesday poor Javier Diaz needs to be in the lineup every game vs RHP and some vs LHP.
I hope you are right but seriously doubt Diaz will be catching today. Dusty is a stubborn Mother F'er.
With Framber and Javier pitching the next 2 days, Dusty already knows Maldy is catching both so he will start Diaz today.
Click saw something in diaz and knew the team didn't really need Murphy. But I'm still annoyed the team didn't make a harder push for murphy.
If the Astros had Murphy, Diaz would be in the minors and available for trade. Everything could still work itself out though. Diaz will be cheap for a few years. Very annoyed with Maldy's quest for 125 games.
No need to keep Chas in the lineup, not in a meaningless regular season game. We can play him tomorrow when we sit Diaz again
Dusty just refuses to let mediocre players be backups if he has a personal affinity for them. Julks has started 3 of the 5 games since Yordan came back. Given his white hot 0-29 stretch it's understandable you have to get his bat in there. He has more PA than Yainer Diaz in July.
